Just back from 8 days at the Dolphin, many over spring break, we had a fabulous time!!
The Dolphin was great, we stayed at the AKL last June and loved it, but we enjoyed the Dolphin even more! Our children, DS 8 and DS 4 loved it too! We were using a government rate and were upgraded to a room on the 17th floor that overlooked not only the Epcot Illumination fireworks but Fantasmic as well. During spring break week my DH was at a conference so we elected not to do the parks. The children did the Wonderland Tea Party and my son enjoyed the Pirate Cruise. Both were wonderfully done and not to be missed! We enjoyed character meals at Cape May Cafe, Coral Cafe, Gulliver's and the Crystal Palace. We also ate at Beaches and Cream, Whispering Canyon and the Sci-Fi. (we did the Hoop de doo and Chef Mickey's last June). Our favorites were Cape May, Gullivers, Crystal Palace, Beaches and Cream and the Sci-Fi, but all were very nice. Gulliver's was great to see some different characters (Timon and Rafiki) and you don't have to order the buffet, you can order al a carte, which is great, with 2 young (not so great eaters) children. The Character interaction at the Crystal Palace and Cape May Cafe are awesome! The atmosphere at Sci-Fi is so cool! We are early risers and got to the parks at opening. We used fast pass at every opportunity and were able to enjoy everything with minimal waits. At MGM, over spring break, we enjoyed the Indiana Jones show, the backlot tour twice, the Drew Carey Sounds dangerous, Star Tours, Rock-n-Roller, Tower of Terror, the Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney Show, dinner at the Sci-Fi, and the later Fantasmic show with no more than 1 hour 45 minutes wait for the entire day!!! At Magic Kingdom, Buzz's ride 3 times, Space Mountain, Goofy's Barnstormer 2 times, Mickey and Minnie's house, the pooh ride, Snow White ride, Peter Pan ride, It's a small world 2 times, the carousel, Big Thunder Mountain 2 times, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, lunch at the Crystal Palace, and a small wait for Jasmine and Alladin's autographs. So get up early and use FastPass, it works wonders, even in heavy park attendance times! I'll be happy to answer any questions! Thanks to all for helping me plan a great trip!!!!
