Spring Break Trip - We drive to Disney for every trip. We left at 6:00 at nite after picking up our DD at college. Stayed in Virginia for the night. Next day Friday, picked up our DS at law school and stayed that night in Savannah, Ga.
Finally arrived Sat. March 9, had lunch at Earl of Sandwich, was not as busy as when we were there for NYE, but still quite a line. It was very cool and very WINDY, but who cares we are here in the sunshine, away from the cold of Pennsylvania. Checked into PC for our first nite. Check in was easy and fast, and even though we were only there one nite I asked for a room close to the check in and parking and I did get what I wanted and on the top floor as requested. Very good, Not far to walk. I have a bad hip problem, bursitis, and rhemutoid arthritis.
Time for dinner, we had ADR for House of Blues at 6:30. Arrived on time and very glad we had them since the wait was 45 minutes. Asked for and was seated in the back room. Great meal, DH had ribs, DS had jambalya, DD had chicken tenders (kids) and boston creme cake with ice cream and I had chicken, mushroom pasta, which I love. Service was also good, but i messed up, I used my AP for a discount, which was only 10%, and forgot about DVC for 20%, Oh well I think I was out of it because it was cold and WINDY. Back to PC to the food court for the Tye Dye Cheesecake. I have always wanted to try it and finally got the chance. It was different but good. Tomorrow Check In at Home OLD KEY WEST.

rhttp://Spring eak, Parks, Golf, Alligators and a SnakeWe wake up really early to check out of PC and into OKW. We arrived by 8:00 and we are always thrilled to hear WELCOME HOME. Our room was ready, :yay: We grab a few pieces of luggage and head to our 1 Bedroom in Building 11. Have never stayed in this area, but have always wanted to, we have usually stayed in Bldg. 62, 23,24, 26. DS and DD are up there before me and I hear them complaining, but they are correct. The room smelled. Very Bad. It smelled musty, and moldy. So we grabbed the bags and walked back to the same lady at the check in and told her and she changed our room to Bldg. 12. which was top floor and much better. No smells and a great view. There was so much vegatation around the room in Bldg. 11. It was on the end. I think there was no sunlight ever in the room. BAD. They said they would send in housekeeping, but I did see someone else checking into that room the next day.
Well onto MK, and Dumbo. This is usually our first ride for every trip. I sometimes think people must look and say oh look at them on Dumbo it must be their first trip, since we are all adults, with no small children. We finish Fantasyland and on to Haunted Mansion, and Pirates, and Thunder Mt. I could not ride Thunder Mt. in Jan so I was looking forward to it, and no lines at any rides. It is now 11:30 and we are hungry, so since we have never tried Cosmic Ray's in 20 plus trips we decide this is the time. I wish we didn't. Three of us had burger, and they were dry and tasted like cardboard, DD had chicken, which was OK. I prefer Peco's Bills. After a few more rides, back to OKW and then the dreaded grocery trip to Wal Mart. We took a very long way to Wal Mart, and decided to see some of the area. We stopped at alot of golf stores to look for a new golf bag for DD, and she did get one. We also saw Roger Clemens the baseball player coming out of one of the golf stores. We always see someone famous on our trips. Back to OKW and dinner at Mama Melrose's at 6:15.
I was worried about here, the last time was 2 years ago, and we were disappointed, but after reading good reviews we decided to try again. We were glad we did. DH and DS had the Chicken Pippete, which was very good, I had Penne with Vodka Sauce, also great, and DD had chicken parm, with penne. She asked for white sauce on her pasta, and vodka sauce on her chicken, and I thought it would be wrong, but it was done right. Two ceasar salads, one calamari, and one soup, one soda and a carafe of sangaria, all of it was great. Left and went back to our room. Tomorrow Expedition Everest, and outlet shopping.
