…so manage your expectations accordingly. Although park crowds didn’t seem particularly heavy, lines were unduly long. We rope-dropped PP, as per usual, and that was fine. For the past four weeks or so a CM has waited for guests near the castle drawbridge and escorted us all in to PP without running, of course. I wish they’d do that all of the time. Despite this, and his warning not to pass him, at least two people tried to. And once he released us, one woman tried to run and cut in front of us onto PP. The “No running” warning seems to half a shelf life of about 1.35 seconds.
In any case, Fantasyland was reasonable and we did five attractions by about 8:35. However, I rode Buzz once — I usually do it at least four times as a virtual walk-on shortly after the park opens — and every time thereafter, there was a line. By 9:00, there was a 30-minute wait and by about 10:00 it had climbed to 40. In short, I only got to do it three times today. Lines for nearly every other attraction were long, too.
When the park opened, several popular attractions weren’t open — IJ, HM, ROTR and of course POTC is undergoing a refurb. That, of course, triggers a follow-on for all other attractions. Again, be aware of long lines and plan accordingly.
