My wife and I have three children. Two boys and one girl. We did a large anniversary trip at the beginning of the year, and stayed in a suite at SSR. We had such a good time that my oldest mentioned the only thing he wanted for his 15th birthday was a second trip this year. He didn't know at the time, but we were already planning on coming back for MNSSHP and MVMCP this year!

We booked 5 days vacation for his birthday in the beginning of April. This coincided with our children's spring break. We planned three park days, squeezing in all four parks, and two travel days. We arrived on Saturday evening at the Dolphin. We ordered burgers and milkshakes at the Fountain, and sat in the lobby to people watch while we ate. We checked out Fuel and got some snacks, and headed to our room for the night.

We always do Hollywood studios first, and took the friendship boat over for the first time. The boat system was efficient, and had several boats in rotation. The Dolphin dock is the last stop before HS, and we made it from our door to the entrance in less than twenty minutes. We rope dropped TSM, and then had Totchos for breakfast. After we ate we rode SDD, SS, MFSR and ROR. After hitting some of our favorite rides out of all the parks, we ate at ABC Commissary for lunch, and then did Star Tours. Afterwards we made our way back to the boats, my youngest bought a BB8 balloon, and my wife and two older ones grabbed some Cokes for the road.

They had a nap, while the oldest son and I did quietly did work and school. We went back that evening and strolled around Hollywood Boulevard. We rode TOT at sunset which was a blast. We went back and rode SDD and TSM again. My oldest is getting closer to beating my score, but it hasn't happened yet! We had a dinner reservation for Round up Rodeo BBQ. Our table wasn't ready until almost an hour after our reservation and by that time we were hungry! Unfortunately the BBQ was not as good as we usually get at DW, from places like Flame tree and the Regal Eagle. We left very disappointed, and will not be back for this one.

Two of the kids don't like fireworks, so I have never seen any of the shows and this trip was no exception. We headed back to the hotel, and we all grabbed pizza and sandwiches from Fuel because we left Dinner hungry. Everyone headed to bed, and had plans to rope drop the next day. The next day was set to be a split day between MK and Epcot, as we had extended evening hours on this nigh for the latter.

We overslept, and didn't get a VQ for Tron. Our oldest was understanding, but disappointed. I told him if we didn't get a slot during the 1pm round I would buy him an I LL's before we headed back for the day. WE rode lots of rides, including my favorite BTM. During our queue for Barnstormer, we had a guest interaction that was quite shocking. A family of three came pushing through the line and cut up through most of the queue. At the beginning where they passed us, the Mother and Father were yelling, really berating, what appeared to be 7 year old boy. Openly mocking him for being scared of a "baby coaster". There was a point midway through the where there was a CM stationed, and I told him about the incident, and pointed out the family in question.

They left the family, and didn't say anything about the cutting the line, but when we made it to the top, the CM we had spoken to told the person loading the carts about the incident. When the new CM approached us he accidentally hit my daughters shin with a swinging door. We made sure to tell him not to worry, and thanked him for his concern, but he said he felt very badly. After the ride he asked if we would like to ride again, and to remain seated. When we made it back around again, he said that was for the rude guests, and this next time was because he accidentally hit my daughter, and let us ride around a third time!

Luckily I was able to get us in a later boarding group for Tron. We planned for this to be our final ride, and the late boarding group meant we might have to skip it this it this time. I spoke to the CM at the entrance to Tron, explained that it was his Birthday, and asked if we could swap our whole family's VQ for one LL so that he could ride sooner. The CM was very nice, and swapped all of us over to LL's. My youngest and wife decided to sit out, and so the three of us hopped into the LL. They had been on Tron before, but I always stayed back, so this was my first time. It was very fun, and though they had warned me that it was short, but I was still shocked by just how short it was. It felt similar in length to Barnstomer from earlier!

We took a Minnie van back to the Dolphin, grabbed a mix of things for lunch from Fuel and the Fountain, and rested at the room for a few hours. The Dolphin seemed like a good deal given its deluxe perks, but I was blown away by how much we enjoyed it. We swore that given availability, this would be our homebase for future trips. The restaraunts, the pool and mini golf, everything ireally, makes it one of the best, and we have stayed in sonly stayed deluxe so far.

We headed to Epcot and did food booths for Flower and Garden for dinner. The filet with mash from Canada was my favorite, but the kids really liked Japan. We did Ratatouille during Symphony of Us, while my wife and the oldest stayed out to watch. The girls did some shopping while we rode a couple more rides, and we all convened for a lovely stroll back to the room. The walk was along the boardwalk near Y&BC, and at night had a nice breeze coming in. Silly. but that was one of the highlights of the trip, holding our youngest, and everyone tired, full, and happy.

The next day we slept in and did an early brunch, and then took the Boardwalk bus over to AK. We did everything in Dinoland, and thought about doing everest. It was still to scary, and I promised my son I would wait to ride it with him. We sent up the big kids, and we did some shopping while we waited.

We don't live in a very large town. When we saw a CM with our town on their name tag, I had to stop and strike up a conversation. Her and her husband are snowbirds, and she works part time at Disney during their time in FL every year. It turned out she lived four blocks away from us back home! It really is a small world after all!

We called it a fairly early day, and after lunch we headed back to enjoy our final evening. We did the mini golf course by the Swan Reserve, and had an excellent time! We had reservations that night got Il Mulino, so after we finished we tidied up and headed down to dinner. It lived up to the hype, and was one we swore we would come back for. The kids filled up one more time at the ice cream bar at Fuel and we called it a night.

The next day we had brunch at Rosa Mexicano, which was truly incredible. Everything we ate on the ground at the Swan and Dolphin was really amazing, and more than made up for our bad BBQ experience the first night. We swam at the Grotto pool, and then showered before we checked out. The storms were really bad on our final day. so our flight was delayed several times. Luckily the delays came while we were still at the resort, and the kids were able to play at the arcade.

I almost booked a room and extended, but the next flight was three days later. We made it to the airport and our flight was delayed one more time. Made it on to the plane, but then sat on the tarmac for more than two hours. By the time we took off, we had been waiting for 9 hours in limbo. We got back home, and were greeted by the cold. As mentioned, our town is fairly small, so the total time from when we touched down, to getting the little one tucked in to his bed, was thirty minutes. We love our local airport, great for connections, and flies direct to MCO twice a week!

We are returning in a little more than two weeks, we have never done MNSSHP and can not wait. We tried to do the swan or dolphin, but they appear to have some kind of convention so booking was difficult. We are starting at Beach club, then Dolphin for a few days, and then finishing at our first ever Moderate resort, POR. Wish us luck, I'll try to report back!
