My sister has always been a Disney Hater (we are complete opposites :rotfl: ). She moved out to Long Beach CA in July and I've been itching to go visit her but haven't had a chance. I'm in NY so it's really far!

She went to Disneyland with her best friend two weeks ago and had a blast :cool1: so now she wants me to come to visit and we will do both parks (she's 20 minutes away   )

Will Easter weekend (Sat/Sun) be super crowded like WDW will be?

That weekend is a great opportunity for me to go and not miss work but if it's going to be insane, missing 2 days of work to see my sister and have no crowds at Disneyland is worth it! We will have to go on a Saturday/Sunday because she can't take off from work.

It'll probably be absolutely ridiculous crazy crowded - and you'll still have an incredible time. My only hesitation is that it's unfortunate this will be your first exposure to DL. I'd prefer your first visit be at a little less crowded time, but I still say go for it! You'll love it anyway.

Now I'm considering just waiting until school is over and going at the end of June (25-2?) when I get done. Crowds similar or better between end of June and that crazy Easter weekend?

Another option would be memorial day weekend... or just suck it up, pick a weekend in May/June and take Monday off (arrive mid day Friday and leave Monday)

Any good suggestions?

Of the dates you mentioned, early June is best. Followed by late June. Followed by Memorial Day. Avoid Spring Break at all costs - it's just too crowded to really see and do everything. I would take a Monday off and go. Of course, this is all just my opinion. Have a fabulous time!

Oh, and my DD lives in Long Beach, too. She's in her final semester at CSLB.:thumbsup2

My sister has her first job there (a hotel) and likes it although I definitely miss her.

I'm currently job hunting so if anything comes up late June will have to work but otherwise I'll take the Monday off at the beginning of June and head 3000 miles away to go to Disneyland! Well, to see my sister! :rotfl2:
