Was that in line for Peter Pan? It looks like that last row of the que where there are the trees hiding the start of the ride. Am I close?

I have no idea why Peter Pan is always packed, but I know we always have to ride it. I guess a bunch of people feel that way?

Day 2 Continued....

So we enjoy Peter Pan's Flight and head over to another favorite...Philharmagic.

Words cannot describe how much I love this show!!! The music, the montage...in a word: magical!

And we noticed another hidden Mickey:

Gotta love it!

So my brother had gotten back with the Fastpasses to Buzz, but they weren't for a couple of hours. So we decide to get some lunch.

We head to our favorite place:

I LOVE this place!

* Note: My family is not the sit down at a restaurant type of gang - we really like to get some grub and move on...that's why we love this place!

So now to make you mouths water and tummies rumble....

The "Fixin's Bar"

YUM!

We ordered burgers, fries, a bowl of chili and some drinks. We sit and relax. I really love the atmosphere of this place! It makes me think that I am in one of the POTC movies.

After we eat, we head over to Adventureland. We wanted to hit POTC, but the line was over an hour!!! So we saw these characters and had to get a picture.

* When I was younger, there was only one character that I was afraid of - Captain Hook. So now, whenever I can, I have to get a pic with him when I see him at WDW!

So after the picture, we saw some Castmembers just standing around the area in front of the POTC flag. We thought this was kinda strange so my brother asked them what was going on. They said that the POTC show would start at 2:15pm. It was about 1:30pm so we decided to stick around.

While we were chilling, we got a few pics...

I have one of Capt Hook and Mr Smee. Mr Smee made everyone hold up one hand with a finger bent to form a hook.

At this point, my father's foot was killing him. (Notice the crutch)

When we were waiting, I cannot tell you how many people came up to me and asked for directions. Because I was wearing a WDW short, the thought I worked there! Luckily I have been here hundreds of times, so it was no trouble at all.

As we waited, we saw some familiar faces....

It was about 2:10pm and we noticed this fella:

He was pulling his little wagon and moved to a certain spot. Of course, we gathered around (making sure we got the first row) and waited anxiously.


Then HE arrived:

JACK SPARROW!!!

He was really good...totally believable. My bro loves the character and was thrilled to see the show up close....and then even closer then he expected.

So he goes around, grabbing kids to be pirates...he chose about 10 kids altogether. And then my brother raised his hand....reminder, he is 22 (as of today actually). Jack laughed at him of course, then grabbed him to come and join the kids.

So after a few short comedy routines, my brother was made a "Pirate". It totally made his day!

Then in typical Jack fashion, he runs off into the crowd and into the back area.

It was terrific! Very cute show, but I would not have to see it again.

Another interesting thing I found out was that Jack doesn't meet and greet. And he doesn't really interact with adults.

Day 2 Continued......

After the Jack Sparrow show, we decided it was time for Buzz Lightyear. I LOVE this ride! One of the few improvements that really surpassed its predecessor.

After Buzz, we hit up the Wedway People Mover. One of my personal favorites....so relaxing!

Ok not really, but those who do not want to see what Space Mountain looks like with the lights on should just skip oer this part!

Well at one point during our journey, we stopped inside Space Mountain. There was no one there and teh lights were on! Kinda spoiled the magic, but definitely a "behind-the-scenes" type thing.

Finally, we got moving again and hopped off. We knew that Space Mountain was closed (duh!) so we decided to begin to head out. As we head out, we got a few pics...

As we start to walk down Mainstreet (slowly of course, because of my father) we noticed that people were lining up for a parade. At first, we considered staying so we sat down and waited....and waited....and waited some more.

Well, I was getting sunburned so I decided to go to the Town Hall and speak to someone about what happened in the morning. I spoke to a lovely young man named Bryan and told him that I was not happy about the parking situation and the fact that we were sent to the furthest spot when my father clearly was having trouble walking. He said that there wasn't anything he could do about the parking, but he gave us two free vouchers for a wheelchair . It's not much, but we saved $20!

(We would soon realize that it was alot harder to push my father than we had originally thought!)

Love the pictures with the statues and the castle in the background, especially the Walt and Mickey one! I've actually never looked at the detail of Mickey before and now I can see it with the picture

Space Mountain with the lights on looks like a mess. I mean the tracks criss-cross itself so many times. I mean, I always knew that somehow, from the size of the building and the number of times you curve around in there... but, still kinda neat to see it.
