These are our options for 2014 since my husband refuses to take my daughter out of school. When will the crowds be lower? I know weather is nicer in mid March, but how hot is it the 1st week of June?

Easter will be crazy busy! Expect to get to the park very early and plan on staying all day. The parks tend to reach capasity around 10-11 a.m and then they won't let folks in. Not to mention it will be wall to wall people so don't expect to get much done.

The first week of June will be crowded but no where near like it is for Easter.

June temps are in the 90's and very humid.

Just my opinion, but I would definitely choose March over June. Your spring break is way before Easter. Easter is April 20 in 2014. We have gone during the 3rd week in March a few times. If you plan your days right, the crowds are not that bad and the weather is great. If you are coming from the North, it's a wonderful break from the yucky late winter/early spring weather.

You can go to the parks early before they are too crowded and then take a swim break in the afternoons. If you go in June, I would definitely do this then too. It will be crowded in June too AND HOT and HUMID. By June, you also have an afternoon thundershower to contend with. Much less likely in March.

I live about an hour and a half due west of WDW so I'm there a lot. AP holder etc and I'll tell you, I avoid WDW from the first week of June through mid Sept due to the heat.

The crowds are really kind of close to the same in March or the first week of June but it's much more pleasant weather wise in March which will make a much more pleasant experience when waiting in lines, walking for miles per day and sitting waiting for parades. The biggest draw back is the parks close a little bit earlier on some days in March.

June is usually horrible hot. We haven't typically gotten into the full swing of the afternoon thunderstorms to cool us off yet so it feels like it's two degrees cooler than walking on the sun then (to me anyway).

I would definitely choose March over June. My family and I have gone for spring break for the last three years and it has been great! Cool in the morning and evening and warm during the day. It was slightly cold for swimming but no one seemed to mind. Hope this helps!

Are you early risers? If so, I suggest June due to lower crowds and heat that does not get ugly until about 1-2pm. If you don't mind larger crowds and longer lines, then go in March if you guys tend to arrive between 10am and 11am.

One more thing, if you are staying onsite the am emh is really helpful in June to beat the heat. From 8am to about 1pm you can just about get all the rides done (sometimes more than once) and take in some air conditioned shows in the afternoon.
