We're thinking about booking a Spring Break 2022 trip (where our break is the week before Easter 4/9 - 4/17). We've always gone to WDW in the summer, but looking for a less-hot time that overlaps school break. Summer was busy, but not sure how it compares to Spring Break. I have heard spring break is packed! How crazy are the crowds?? We normally do rope drop to early afternoon and then back to the resort for pool time. Then back for dinner and a few rides. Is this doable or will it be BUSY? Thoughts?

It will be busy. In pre-pandemic times, Touring Plans often had crowd levels of 7-10 for our Spring Break weeks, and some of those were not even the week near Easter. It's not quite as busy as Thanksgiving or xmas-NYE, but it's pretty darn close. We still usually get everything we want done in busy times, with doing rope drop and usually with taking an afternoon break. It just depends how many things you want to do and which ones.

Spring Break is never as busy as fixed date Holiday's (like MLK, Christmas, July 4, etc) since Spring Breaks are all over the place. Some near Easter, some not. People are way more spread out. I equate Spring Break crowds to high summer crowds. Another thing to research is when are the local FL schools on their Spring Break. GA schools too. That can be an indicator as to which weeks will be busier than others.

Great point. I checked the local FL districts but not others.
