Spring Break 2019-What would you choose?

This will be our 5th Disney Cruise. We have always done the 7 day Caribbean Cruises over Spring Break-Fantasy x3, Magic x1.

For Spring Break 2019 I am trying to decide between the 5 day Baja on the Wonder out of San Diego vs. 4 day on the Dream out of Port Canaveral. We want to do a shorter (ie: less expensive than the 7 day) as we are hoping to do Alaska in Summer 2019.

Any opinions on which you would chose?

I would probably chose the Wonder to experience a new ship and itinerary. Unless there is a reason you would like to sail the Dream and see Nassau...

We are doing the Baja because the waters are calm, the Pacific! And the coastline is gorgeous!! It is also warm and the Wonder is one of the classic ships, that you might enjoy! Also you board in San Diego so you might want to visit Disneyland first.....

Thanks! I was leaning toward the Wonder and San Diego. I just love Castaway....but not sure it is worth it choosing the 4 day just for Castaway. Good to know it will be warm as well. Airfare from ORD to MCO is always so outrageous during Spring Break that it will likely be the same or cheaper to get to San Diego.

We're throwing around those cruise dates too, and the 7 day fantasy one that same week. Waiting until we can book it onboard in January

We decided to take a break from cruising and DCL for Spring Break 2018. Headed to Beaches and Turks and Caicos. Did not book a placeholder last spring break since we decided to do something different for 2018. I knew that we wouldn't do Beaches and Alaska in same year given cost and so the placeholder would have expired before Summer 2019. But evidently I am already having DCL withdrawal looking forward to 2019 and possibly 2 DCL vacations. The 5 day is significantly lower in cost than what we have paid in past for 7 day spring break Caribbean so I feel like I can justify both.

I chose the 3/10 wonder out of San Diego based on the price. It never occurred to me to do San Diego cruise bc it's a longer flight but now that I have it booked I am super excited about it! We have never been to San Diego and the size of ship and length of cruise will be perfect for us!

I would take the Magic and do a 5 day if it is available and hopefully it will be a Marvel cruise?
