Spring Break 2013 Fares are Insane!

Just booked my flights for Spring Break 2013. NY Spring Break is the week of 4/1 next year, we'll be heading to Daytona Beach and then DS8's first time on the Disney Dream! Plane tickets for both Southwest and JetBlue were on average $300 per ticket, ONE WAY! I know it's Spring Break and the airlines will over charge just because of that, but it doesn't mean I won't be very angry when I pay my credit card bill this month!!!

Wow - that is high! I just booked ours from Chicago. Our break is the week before yours but still attached to Easter so it is high! I paid $400 rt. We went last year but our break wasn't attached to Easter and paid $300 rt.

We average $300-$350 roundtrip to Orlando out of Albany NY. So I was not pleased at my $525 per person round trip price tag this morning! And as is my experience with SW, those prices will only go up from here. If they come down, I get a credit, but I don't see that happening at all. I'm glad we're booked and it's done, but geesh. I am still in total sticker shock.
