Spring break 2005 dates please

Hi Could anyone out there tell me when spring break is in USA please.

In the US, Spring Break varies greatly. It ranges from March through April. In the Atlanta area, most public schools are out April 4-8. The private schools usually have Spring Break in March. It would be great if a bunch of DIS'ers would post their areas Spring Breaks. I'd like to go for a quick trip in March, but I'll avoid Spring Break like the plague.

My littlest ds spring break is april 24-28 I think. The older 2 ds I am still waiting for. I go with their schedule to go to disney since they are in high school.

Our spring break for 05 is March 24th through April 1st. Ours is always end of March. Last March we went to WDW as it was 2 weeks prior to Easter. Next year we will NOT go to Disney as our break DOES coinside with Easter. Many schools follow the Good Friday and week after Easter schedule for spring break. The week prior to and week after Easter are almost always the most crowded. Other than that crowds should be moderate. We are considering Arizona for our next spring break as Easter is March 27th in 2005. Good luck deciding.

My DD's "spring break" is the week after Easter Sunday, as been this way for well ever.

Most Long Island, NY schools have a short March spring break after Easter and a week in April after Passover. I think it's March 24-28 and April 23-May1.

NYC public schools are closed April 25-29. Our kids only have Good Friday off for Easter.

We're also out the week of President's Day.

Well I just got the 2 hs ds schedule and it looks like they too will have off april 25-29. Hmm, seems like this is the ny/nj metro trend for 2005. Look out disney , here we come. The weather should be gorgeous! Hmm, does this coincide with the flower festival. I didnt look at those dates. That would be icing on the cake! I can see ourselves at the water parks alot.

Now that some codes are out through 4/16/05 and our (Central Massachusetts) Spring break is 4/18-4/22, I am trying to decide if I want to risk any crowds. Do many other states also have this week off? Of course, I still need some codes!!

We were just there 10/1-10/10. The Saturday of Columbus Day w/e was near capacity!! Wow, the lines!! We still had a blast!!

Here in Western New York, Buffalo area. Most of us have the last 2 weeks of MArch off. We always have a 2 week holiday and easter is right in the middle. I think they are doing away with this though. For 2006 And giving us a break in February and one at Easter.

I am from Central Mass also. We are checking in on 4/16 at FW. From everything I have read, the parks are moderately busy at this time. It seems to me that New England is the big area for this time period. I took the kids out of school last March and went and it was very crowded the week we were there. I asked a CM about it, if it was always this crowded in March. She said that alot of schools are on break at that time, and that it usually calms down a bit around the middle of April. Hopefully she will be right. Good Luck getting a code!!!!

Keep in mind NorthWest Florida has moved Spring breaks back a little because of all the lost school days during hurricane season.

My universities spring break is the week of March 21.

Thanks for the info. Our neighbors went during April vacation a year or so ago and said it was moderately busy as well. We've already pulled the kids out of school one week for our October trip and although their teachers were great about it...I feel more comfortable that any more trips this school year need to be during scheduled school breaks.

It's getting so cold here now and I know I'll be ready for some Florida sun come April!!!

Yes, Long Island here also with a break of 4/25-4/29. Last year when we were there on spring break they actually closed Magic Kingdom because of capacity crowds.

Gee, can't wait for this year, seems alot of people have the same week.
