Spring Break '04 Changed - A Happy Ending!!

Forum regulars may remember me whining about my college changing the dates of spring break next year after I had reserved 3 Dolphin rooms at the Teacher's rate. When I tried to move the ressie back a week I was informed that Dolphin had no rooms at that rate for that week. Well, yesterday I got a voice mail from Dolphin telling me that I can have the ressie bumped back at the same rate. There was a moment of panic as the agent calling told me that the new ressie was for AUG. 5 - 13, not March 5 - 13, but she just said the wrong month, the ressie is OK.

Thanks to all who offered advice. Now, if I could just find cheap airfare I'd be set.

Glad it worked out! I'm looking for cheap airfare for Dec. So far I can't find anything cheaper than 296.00/Delta. I'm waiting for Southwest to release more dates.

Great news, Bill!

But here's my 'dilema'...
I just called the Dolphin to check if the Govt. Rates are available for March '04, and was told that those rates aren't out yet.

My wife's folks will be coming with us, and I'll be reserving two rooms under my name and don't want to miss the boat so to speak...

For what it's worth, I booked the original 2/27 - 3/6 ressie on line at the Starwood site SPG.COM in early March. When I attempted to change the ressie a week or 2 ago, I called Starwood and the agent was looking at my desired week on her screen when she told me the $129 rate wasn't available then. When I finally got it all sorted out, it was a Dolphin agent who verified off her screen that I had the rate for 3/5 - 3/13 and gave me a confirmation number. I'd try all three sources ASAP, and keep trying weekly. The Starwood number is 1-888-625-4988, the Dolphin number can be found at WWW.SWANDOLPHIN.COM where you may get another chance to book.
