I just got accepted into attractions role for Spring '09

Woohoo!!!!!!!

Wahoo!! Congrats! Any ideas where you'd like to work in particular?


I was thinking that everyone should post whether they're in Spring or Spring Advantage so that maybe people could start requesting roommates before they got down there. What do you guys think?

So I just finished scheduling my interview for Wednesday at 10 a.m. but I have a question. I remember reading about having to fax our information to them but the lady I talked to on the phone didn't mention anything about that and I didn't see anything on the CP website so do we not have to do that anymore? I know that we have to mail everything in so I'm not sure if that is taking the place of faxing out information to them or if we have to do both or what. I really don't want to mess anything up!!

Do both. Fax and mail your stuff right after your interview. Your interviewer will give you the numbers and stuff so you can fax it.

Hey Zulemara, fancy meeting you over here!

My DS is a junior at UCF in Hospitality Management and wants to apply for the Internship program for Spring semester. They are not doing a presentation at his campus so from what I gather, he just needs to do the e-presentation and then schedule an interview. Any other tips you can give? I'm having him get this done this week as he's been procrastinating!

yeah, make him stop procrastinating The sooner he applies the better his chances of getting accepted for his number 1 or 2 choice. Once things fill up it all comes down to custodial and QSFB

got my letter in the mail today. one problem. i have never seen this discussed on this board before.
my letter said

"we are currently processing your application for the spring 2009 season program, and at this time, your status is pending a final decision."

"you will be contacted with an update on the status of your application by December 1st."

"if you are not contacted within this timeframe, please contact our office
at 1-800-772-2930."

i don't understand. I did the eppresentation on day one, interviewed on the second day of interviews and applied for 90% of the job categories.
the only things i did not apply for were lifeguard, custodial and hospitality which the interviewer said was basically for hospitality majors.

i thought my interview went well, i have been going to Disney with family at DVC since at least 1995. I have a fairly good knowledge of the property.
they asked for honest answers and thats how i answered.

has anyone else received a letter like this.? is this the polite Disney NO?

by december 1st, most categories will be filled, start dates chosen, housing choices limited.

i am really disappointed.

are you auditioning? I know people that are auditioning are getting those letters so they can keep your status pending to give you that as you're role if you pass. That's probably what it means.

If you're not auditioning, then i'd contact your recruiter

So considering you marked basically every role that means you picked character performer. They aren't making any decisions because they are waiting on you to audition.
What roles were you questioned on during the interview?

attractions, merchandise, main entrance operations,recreation,transportation,full service full and beverage,bell services dispatch, hospitality, character attendant, vacation planner and
bibbidi bobbidi boutique hostess

i was asked questions about attractions, merchandise and vacation planner. vacation planner was not what i expected it to be.

Didn't you say you were rejected for Fall 08 too? If its not the same rejection letter that I doubt them saying no is your problem. Are you sure you didnt accidently check off character performer?

Sorry, sorry didn't mean for that to sound so rude. I meant that if the letter you got this time wasn't the same as the letter you got last time than I wouldn't be worried at all about being rejected. I say just call them up and see what is going on.

How did you get rejected, did you apply late? I called today to see if any of my stuff had been processed, nothing had. The girl said it would be another 2 weeks at least before I hear anything, so I'm assuming this isn't happening for whatever reason.
