Argh! Major frustration. I left a message for my Disney contact/recruiter-type person while she was out of town for a conference, checking to make sure they had my paperwork. I got an e-mail back today saying that they'd received my fax but not my paper application, yet.

And apparently they're going from the date of your paper application (which is stupid, 'cause let's be honest--it's exactly the same!), because she said it would be another two-three weeks before I heard!
This wouldn't be such a big deal, except I have a meeting with my adviser on Monday and he's going to want a solid reason for my plan to take a leave of absence next semester. Not "well, I might be doing this thing at Disney World." I mean, that doesn't sound particularly reassuring, even to me. I know that it's highly likely I'll get in with how well my interview went (on the very first day of interviews, too!) and my guest service experience. It's just frustrating that I can't give anyone concrete answers.
Anyway, the point is that everyone should know that they're going from the day they get your paper application as two-three weeks. Not from the interview, like I was told.
Does anyone think it'll hurt me in getting the job I want if it took them so long to get my paper application? I want either hospitality or attractions.
