spring 2009

Too bad I can't go down til May- I would have roomed with you.

I almost asked you and then I was like oh wait, she's not coming down till the fall! :headache: But maybe when I extend into the fall? If there's someway to work that out that would be awesome :)

About the apartment issue,
do we have to live in the Disney world? can we find apartment ourselves? I am wondering....

I was kind of wondering the same thing myself. I know that you get a really good deal with the Disney apartments though so I definately want to take advantage of that.

Seems the rent is very expensive

It's actually not. The more roommates you have the cheaper it will be. With all the things that are included it's a really good deal. You'll definately be paying more if you stay somewhere by yourself.

I think we can save a lot if we can do so....
btw Seewhatimesdone, start thinking about PI Fall 09?

Not really. Considering what you get with it, it's really a good deal. Besides, the more roomies you have the cheaper the apartments. I like the 3BR- I will be going for that again.

You have to have a REALLY good reason to stay off-site. 99% of CPs stay in the CP housing.

That would be great if it could work out!:)

Actually how much for the apartment per month? I heard that it was like $700 and will deduct from our salary.
How's the process work for picking up a roommate? I saw that many people can pick there roommate on the facebook group? can we decide who we live with? Is the Man and Woman CPs live separated?

It isn't charged per month, it is charged per week. It varies per complex (Vista is cheapest, then Chatham, then Patterson) and per apartment size (3/4 BR apartments are cheapest, then 1/2 BR apartments). Yes, the rent is taken out of the paycheck.

For roomies, you can either pick one through the roomie notification system, or get one randomly at check-in. If you find someone you want to be roomies with, you just enter their notification code at the wdwcp website.

Yes, the apartments are by gender (males room together, and females room together). They also go by age (21 and over, under 21).

Do you know the rent Jonna?

Do you know the rent Jonna?

For Fall 08, Vista starts around $75 (and I think goes up to $80). Chatham 3/4 BR was $80, and the 1/2 BR was $90. Patterson 3/4 BR was $81, and 1/2 BR was $91. But I believe rent is going up in Jan.

I'm going to apply for a PI but not next year. I want to extend the CP into the fall. My sister might be interested in doing a PI so we could get an apartment together in a year and a half.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :goodvibes I hope to see you down there! :)

Thanks! Can't wait to see you too!

Still a really good deal! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to take a break from California prices!

K_Timon!
Nice to meet you here!! I get into lifeguard as well~
So when are you planning to accept the offer?
What are you going to prepare for your trip :yay:

I accepted for Jan 12-May 22. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see my brothers play some basketball and swim before I head down.

I'm headed back to the pool as I haven't been running as much as I used too to get ready for that swim test. Other than that I'm just trying to make sure I graduate, I was abroad in England last semester so I'm pretty much preparing for Disney the same way.

Hey hey hey!

For those of you who have done the cp before and know a little about the apartments i have a few questions:
1. Do we have to buy our own irons and ironing boards?
2. Do the apartments have exercise rooms?

I think that was it?! If i figure out what the other questions were I'll post them too! thanks guys!

1. I believe irons can be rented from the clubhouses. If not, they sell them cheap at Walmart.

2. Yes. Each complex has an exercise room.
