Sports is getting all NEW MATTRESSES

Just got back tonight and while we were there, all the rooms were in the process of getting new mattresses. We only got to sleep on them 1 night (they changed ours yesterday) boy were they nice.

also we asked what happens to the old sets ands guess what? They sell them to Motel 8's..

I doubt they really resell them to Motel 8 (or do you mean Motel 6 or Super 8). Legally, you can't resell a mattress.

DH spoke to the company delivering them and apparently Disney hires an independant company to bring in new and take out the old. The individual contractor hired sells them to Motel 6, not Disney.

But I just wanted to future Disers to know that Sports got the new comfy mattresses.

How was check-in? I'm a little afraid that guests will be a little fussier during the construction mode with getting a room designation; therefore, this process taking a very long time.

Did the noise bother you? Will you share your room area?

How where the buses? Did you have to share the bus with other resorts-Music and/or Movies? Did you ever come back for a break; how was the noise then? How long where the trips to parks? Thanks for the info.

Our flight out of Philly was first cancelled then the next flight was delayed so we got into Orlando at 1:30 am. No one at check in at all. lol Oh except me.. Ü

We were in the touchdown building which is near the pool that was open. The constructin was not a problem for us at all. I actually never heard any noise. I guess where we were it wasnt noticeable at all. All I heard all night was toilet flushing. Thin walls I guess. I stayed in movies before and dont remember hearing so much through the walls.

We rented a car. I have a son in a wheelchair so its easier for him if we rent. We tok a break almost everyday because of the heat. It was like being in Africa it was so hot. I never blow dried my hair, I left with it wet everyday in order to try and stay cool longer.
