Hey there,

We might be able to visit Disney World for a second time this year. We'll probably stay at our regular All-Star Music Resort. I know that the Sports Food Court will be in refurb while we'll be there so I'm wondering the impact this might have on :

1) People choosing to stay at Music instead of Sports

2) Crowds at Music's Food Court

Thanks in advance!

I don't know but we're going to find out (the hard way :rotfl2: ) in 34 days.... I'll report back if nobody else has replied.

We upgraded to a mod because we thought it might significantly increase traffic. We love ASMu and its quiet feel but logically we thought that the odds of increased crowds in the food courts and bus lines were pretty good. Our thought was that people would come over for breakfast and just catch the bus to the park from there. Since it is our first couple's trip...we weren't willing to take that chance.

In our case it plays a slight factor into where we may stay. Never had wish to stay at ASSp but DH and buddy chose ASMo over Music. Bff and I chose Pop over ASMu. I'm not saying the food court was our only reason but it was part of reason we chose which one.

My kids prefer All Star Sports over any other value or moderate. 3 boys...they love to play on the football field and they make a lot of friends. I am so disappointed that it will be closed and also not willing to deal with the overflow from Sports to Music and Movies for food options. I had reservations when the closing was announced. I changed them quickly. What is sad, is that most won't know that the food court is closed at Sports until they get there.

We made reservations a while back during the closure and received a letter in the mail from Disney explaining the food court closure during our stay. My parents, and my sister's family also received letters explaining the closure. But, I have read resort feedback already on some travel sites of people not getting prior notification. I don't understand how some are notified and others are not.

We decided to keep our reservations, though, and will post our experience after we return. We check in less than a week from now.
