It's over. TB12 announced on his facebook page he is not continuing his legal battle and will serve his suspension.

I was just coming to post this. This quick decision probably helps the team. They can get ready for the season with their backup. It will go down as a black mark against Brady with everyone outside of the Patriot fan base.

I've never understood why championship athletes in any sport do something to give themselves some sort of advantage, then still tout that they are champions.

Champions with help. If they played by the rules exactly, would they still be champions? Hard to say ....

Seems hollow to me. I prefer to make it in my own without doing anything that might cast aspersions. But I'mN starting to think I'm a fossil in my way of thinking, based on what I see in the world today.

One of my rules of sports is that if a team is winning in an outsized way then they are cheating. We may not see it right away but something eventually comes to light. It is sad but I even say that about my teams.

Well, I can't believe people were really that gullible to believe there was ball tampering, it was just a nice excuse to pile on the Pat's. Now that the proof is in the pudding that Brady's "cheating" isn't why we win, crickets...

But it is GREAT to watch football again. Some teams look real good, some....ay yi yi!!!

Belichik is definitely a coaching genius. Which is why everyone scratches their head when he gets caught cheating. He doesn't need to.

What this shows is Brady is not the great QB that had everyone fooled. The coaching and the team is what makes him good just as they made a third string QB good.

It makes me believe more than ever that Brady had to cheat to keep up appearances.

Oh, and people don't hate the Pats because they ain't the Pats. There are a number of reasons to hate the Pats and early stats are not one of them. There are plenty of teams that are at 3-0; Vikings, Eagles, Ravens, and the reigning Superbowl champs are also 3-0 and last year's third string QB was the offensive player of the week this week. Let's get farther into the season before any team starts bragging that "People hate us cuz they ain't us." 3 games isn't very many.

No jealousy here, my team was the Patriots before the Patriots, my team along with the Steelers, Packers, and the 49ers built the modern NFL.....I saw plenty of Red Sox and Celtics jerseys in Texas as a kid, never saw a Patriots jersey.......The Pats will be relegated to irrelevancy again, of course that could be a while, BUT most of the hatred is in fact jealousy....
