Must be nearly the summer holidays, we've got sports day today!!!!

Hope Ashley manages to win something, he came third in the egg and spoon race last year due to someone holding onto their egg and was disqualified. We've got a lovely day for it and DH has got a day off work today so they couldn't have chosen better.
:thumbsup2

I had my sons sports day last tuesday it was really hot none of the kids could be bothered because of the heat hope you have a nice day and take plenty of water i had a flask in the fridge chillin so when the kids came on the field he had a nice cold drink enjoy

Hope it is a lovely day and they do well :)

Have a lovely day - my sons school only has a 'proper' sports day every other year (they don't like to encourage competitiveness!) so he's just had a fun day this year - personally I think a bit of competition doesn't do them any harm. Enjoy yourself and I hope it's not too hot!

Have a lovely day. My DS's sports was supposed to be last Thursday but it got postponed as it had rained most of the morning to Tuesday this week. Sadly I couldn't make the re-arranged date but DH & DD went along and DS managed a third in the sprint relay so got a sticker :)

awww have a great day!
I loooved sports day in primary school! was so much fun even though it was only in the afternoon

now we get it all day! each class has a netball football hockey tug of war and relay team :) this sports day me and my friends dressed up as ballerina's for cancer research :teeth:

Bless him. Did the egg and spoon without dropping the egg (a rubber egg and when one bounced the children chased after it thereby crossing the line way ahead of Ash). Skipping he did brilliantly (he's not normally very co-ordinated but managed to run and skip at the same time). He's got my talent for sprinting and came in last but managed to run the 400 metres coming in the first half of the runners. He's disappointed but we were extremely proud of him. :thumbsup2

DD has her nursery sports day next Thursday with a little party afterwards.

Nursery sports entails the kids to run back and forth, hoping and skipping then a couple of circle games like around the mulberry bush, and the hokey cokey (spelling terrible at the mo, don't laugh).
Great fun and it is on her last day of school.

bless him he done well it's not the winning that matters it's being a good sportsman. sounds like your's was better than ours the kids were so exhausted in the heat!

Try telling his Grandad its the taking part that matters!!!! Whenever we get a board or card game out Grandad says there no point playing if you're not going to win. How he managed to bring my DH up to play fair I'll never know, he's so competitive.

:rotfl2: competitive Grandad how funny! bless him! well done to your Ds though

Well Done to your DS!
