Is there anywhere within disney dh can watch games like the fa cup final and champions league final? Apparently I made a boo boo booking to be away 14-31 may as he'll miss both so hoping somewhere in dtd will show them. He is not a big disney person.
Also is there anywhere to buy english newspapers to read match reports?

You can buy English newspapers from your resort, I remember reading about the fa cup final, while at the CBR. I'm not sure about watching sport, but I'm sure there will be somewhere even if he has to go off site.

There are a few "English" pubs on IDrive which will show the football.

Some international sporting events are shown at the ESPN cafe but failing that several British owned and run pubs are dotted around the International Drive area.

Thanks. I was hoping to avoid having to go off site just to watch it as it will disrupt the whole day and cost a fortune in transport as we aren't hiring a car.

The FA Cup final and the Champion League Final are shown live on US television and will be on at the ESPN bar on the Boardwalk. You can ask the wait staff to put the channel you want on the screen nearest you.
A couple of weeks ago we watched the Spurs Europa League game in there.

ESPN are pretty hit and miss to be honest and if it's a must see game you would have to go of site.

A few years back when the Swans were playing to get into the premiership my husband said he wasn't going cause he had to go to the games!! I'm a football widow

Closest place to DTD is Millers Orlando Ale house in Lake Buena Vista, it's a bit of a walk but not too far, we've ended up here for many a game and many a drink they will put on any sport you want.

I know Shazzie! I get that he has his team but surely a once in a lifetime holiday for his kids should be worth more!! These finals happen every year so just watch next year's (apparently that comment was not appreciated...)
