Sporting events in October

Hi y'all, not posted for a while, but we are now in serious planning mode with c.170 days to go.

DW, DS (12) & I are all sports nuts (the boys mostly) but we have never seen a live event in the States. Know that October is time for the World Series and that regular season basketball is only just underway, so question is what events would you recommend trying in/around Orlando at that time of the year?

We are very open minded to basketball, baseball, hockey, etc., but the event must be true-US! College football perhaps?

If so, what websites can you recommend for more info./calendar/ticket prices.

Orlando Magic have seom pre-season games in October:

No baseball on due to World Series though.

As for collge football the Orlando State Seminoles have a few games in otober but in Tallhassee!
