sport rentals at SSR

We'll be going to SSR for Easter with 8 teenage boys (ages 16-18). Should we bring our own basketball and tennis rackets, or can we rent them there? Anything else we should know about the sports activities that are available? Thanks!

the basketball is free. not sure where this is at SSR?

They have a closed in half court next to the tennis courts for basketball. We just returned from 10 days at SSR and every morning we went to the basketball courts for about an hour. Only once was the court occupied. You can get a basketball from community hall by exchanging your room key for the ball. After one day of that my son decided to buy a ball at DTD for the rest of the trip. Another nice feature is the courts have lights. They dont come on automatically though. There is a timer on the pole near the courts that you have to turn on for the lights to start up.

We didnt play any tennis while we were there so I am not sure if they work the same as basketball (exchanging keys for the equipment) although I would think they would. The only price sign they had up for renting anything was for the bikes (and DVC members got 50% off that cost).
