Spoodles?

is Spoodles closed? or is it going to be closed in September?

i was just trying to make an ADR for this September.
After trying multiple times and dates, i thought that perhaps it might be closed at that time.

Anyone know?

as i kept modifying the attempted ADR (online), i started thinking about that...
didn't someone mention it on a podcast...
i figured if i post, someone would know the answer....

what can i say, my memory's not what it used to be (AKA senior moment )

actually, now that i think about it, i think that when i originally heard it on the podcast i thought - no big deal, i wasn't planning on an ADR there anyway (we've never eaten there, but i made an ADR for DD's trip there last year)..

anyway, at lunch on saturday, DD was talking about all the restaurants on her trip last year, and she mentioned how fantastic the chef at spoodles had been...how he had come out to talk with them (they're vegetarians) and cooked up something special for them, not on the menu...
she said it was stupendously good...
i hadn't heard the story before, so i asked if she wanted me to make an ADR there for our trip this September....she said absolutely..
so i went online to get an ADR....and tried and tried and tried.....when i finally began remembering that perhaps it had been mentioned on the podcast....
so i posted....

bottom line, DD won't get her great meal at spoodles this year i guess...certainly not a tragedy....just good to know why i couldn't get that ADR...funny that it doesn't come up on the computer when you try to get those dates..

I have heard good things about Cat Cora in general, so you might want to give it a try when if is open.

I haven't eaten at Spoodles, but I really like saying it. Spoodles.

honestly, i have no clue what kind of food was served there....

i'm not sure why i even made her the ADR last year....i had to make lots and lots of reservations for her.....she was on free dining for 2 weeks...i guess i was just looking for a non-park, non-signature restaurant for her....the ones i recall making were spoodles, boma and chef mickey......

Spoodles will not be serving breakfast from July 1 through mid August.
Breakfast will be served daily at Flying Fish Cafe from 7:30- 11:30 AM. From July 6 through August 1, a buffet dinner will be served at Spoodles. There will be no ala carte dining. Starting August 2 through mid August the restaurant will be completely closed. It will be reopened as Kouzzina by Cat Cora and will feature Mediterranean cuisine. Cora has been a featured chef at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and at Disney’s California Food & Wine Festival at Disneyland Resort. No official opening date has been announced.

thanks Kathy - i always do use those restuarant menus...as well as the list of what restaurants are on the dining plan and which ones are 2 credits (signature)....
in fact, that's how i chose all of DD's restaurant ADRs last year...
i read through all the menus to see where they had the best vegetarian choices....
