Spoodle's? Yacht Club Galley?

We have an Illuminations cruise and want to do dinner beforehand - is spoodle's good? bad? why and what should we get? or should we do yacht club galley - is that near the boardwalk? Is it any good? recommendations?

We ate at Spoodles in Sept and it was great. DW had the mussels app. which was huge, could have been a meal in itself. She had the Salmon for an entree and it was great, perfectly cooked and I had the pasta with sausage and mushrooms that was out of this world. Also try a Blue Spoodle for an adult beverage.

There's really no comparison. The YC Galley serves the sort of food you'd expect at an above-average all-purpose hotel restaurant. You should have no trouble walking in for dinner.

Spoodles on the other hand is much more adventurous; the previous poster did a good job describing the menu selections. It's also more lively, trendier, and expensive.

I agree 100% with the above posters in voting for Spoodles over the Yacht Club Galley. Just so you know, the YC Galley is in the Yacht Club hotel which is across the lake from the Boardwalk. It is an easy walk or boat ride over to the Boardwalk. However, Spoodles is one of our favorite restaurants at WDW; while the YC Galley is good, it just isn't very special.
