Hello! I need your advice. I am trying to decide whether to eat at Spoodles or FF on our October trip. The cast includes: DH 33, me 31, DD 7, 6, 4. Dh eats pretty much anything and loves seafood, while I like mediterran cuisine. DD7 is pretty advenutuorus for her age, while DD6 is picky. DD4 is g-tube fed.

TIA,
Caitlyn

Spoodles is a good family fun meal in a casual restaurant - fairly reasonably priced for WDW.

Flying Fish is one of the better restaurants at Disney, with a price tag to match. The food is among my favorite, heavy on the fish choices. Excellent desserts.

Flying Fish is by far the better restaurant, but has a price tag to match and - depending on your kids, may not be a great choice.

Are you on the dining plan? If so, I would do Spoodle's rather than Flying Fish, as FF is a 2 credit meal.If not, I would do whichever one fits your family's tastes better. Good luck deciding!

Once upon a time Spoodles was one of our favorite restaurants at WDW, since then it has taken that ill-fated "gone downhill" plunge that some of the other WDW restaurants have taken, the service has also taken that same downhill plunge.

While we do still enjoy their breakfast we've tried to enjoy our dinners there a few times in the past few years but it's just not what it once was. That being said, if you have nothing to compare it to, you might like it. The menu is very limited now so make sure you check it out before making an ADR.

On the other hand, FF is on our current "favorite" list. Food is excellent, service is up to par. This has been consistent for the past 2 years that we've been dining here on a regular basis. The seafood is always fresh, I just love their mussels! DD loves this place as well and has been eating here since she was 5.

But, of course, it also depends on your budget as already mentioned, FF is definitely in the higher end category--but it is still very "kid-friendly". Spoodles is not cheap but is definitely less expensive. Personally for the quality of the food and service in comparison I'd splurge on the extra and go for FF, but that's me. Both menus offer similar kids items, so you shouldn't have a problem with your picky 6 yr old dd, mine was also picky however this is where she started eating salad and ranch dressing right about that age! ;)

my vote is for Spoodles!

Flying Fish is a little too upscale for me -Spoodles has enough variety to satisfy the varied tastes of our family with a more family friendly price tag!

Depends on how much you want to spend, Spoodles is less expensive than Flying Fish. I've only been to Spoodles and did enjoy the food there. I've heard excellent things about FF, so I definately have that on my list to try.

I have never had dinner at spoodles but we eat at FF every year. We love the steak there believe it or not. It is a bit pricey though.

We ate at Spoodles in May and I ordered the Steak and Scallops on the Dining Plan. No extra charge, I learned that from this board, the steak melted in my mouth. The whole meal was delicious. Our service was great. We even left a extra tip and the tip was included on the DDP. I have never ate at the Flying Fish so I can't comment. I am going back to Spoodles!!

Thanks for the advice. We have decided to eat at Spoodle's, as we are on the dining plan.
