Spoodles isn't as good

I have to agree with Sauceboss. The Dining Plan has, UNFORTUNATLY, become the way of the world (WDW that is!:sad2:). It looks like no matter what "we" say or post on this board, we are just going to have to deal with it.

1) Unfortunately, pretty true.
2) And, we do deal with it.
3) We only patronize five (5) TS eateries at WDW, and only two are Disney-owned.
4) We won't make a difference or dent in the Disney profit picture.
5) But, I at least now get my money's worth when I buy quality meals.

I went to Spoodles for the 1st time this Aug....with the free dining...

It is now one of my FAVORITES......I thought the food was awesome...

I had the shrimp app...to die for...and the rigitoni dish....much better
than I thought it would be....In fact the best pasta dish that I ever had
in WDW.

I agree the food there is great.

I had their new chocolate cake, and my wife had the cheesecake and they were awesome.

Thanks for the good review! Can you describe the new chocolate cake a bit.... Also do you remember if there is still a creme brulee on the dessert menu?

Also is the chicken dish breaded? We haven't been to Spoodles before but are going in a few weeks.....

The Chocolate cake is called "Chocolate Financier Cake" and is served with a Port Wine Reduction and Espresso Gelato. The entire dessert menu is brand new. No more creme brulee - seems everyone has it anyway, no great loss in my opinion.

The chicken is breaded, but they'll grill ir for you if you ask.

I can understand where everyone is coming from when they get upset when a certain menu item gets replaced or changed, sometimes its great and sometimes not so much. Personally I like menu changes every now and then, because it keeps a place "fresh" and I like to see what the chefs can come up with. I guess my only complaint would be taking the New York Strip off the menu. I've had the kabobs and don't get me wrong they are good, but my personal taste is something more of a strip, a sirloin, or maybe even a good ribeye. I honestly feel that some places stick with a certain thing for way to long, and it gets boring sometimes.
