We are trying out new restaurants during the upcoming trip to WDW. Well, not new to the world but restaurants we haven't tried before. Spoodles is one of them.

The only thing is as I plan, I can't quite figure out how to get there from our hotel or the MK.

We are staying at POFQ. Can we take a boat to Boardwalk resort for dinner? Or do we get on a bus for MK and transfer to Boardwalk bus?

Thanks in advance!:woohoo:

I assume you don't have a car, so one way is to take the bus to DHS, formerly MGM Studios. When you get off the bus, go towards the right, towards the "lake" and hop on the boat to get to Boardwalk. To me, this seems to be the easiest. Enjoy your meal at Spoodles.:)

I highly recommend this route: From MK, hop on the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Change monorails and get on the monorail to Epcot. From there, enter the park and head back to the world showcase (stay on the right hand side of the lake). Walk past Canada and the UK, and exit Epcot through the Rear entrance. From here, you can take a 5 - 10 minute walk to the Boardwalk, or you can take a ferry boat!

I think this should save you a few minutes. There is nothing worse than waiting and waiting and waiting for a bus to come. With this route, you wont have to wait! And the monorail is such great fun!

It all depends on if you are planning on going from your resort or the MK. Both routes previously provided are the best for those specific starting points. However if you are at your hotel, it would be very out of your way to go to the MK and then to dinner.

If you are already at the MK, take the resort bus to the Boardwalk. Walk through to the back, and Spoodles is a very short walk.

Thanks! But...I'm confused. Let me think while I type....

If we are leaving from our hotel, I guess the best way is to take bus to DHS and hop boat to Boardwalk.

And if we are leaving from MK or Epcot, walking from Epcot is do-able!

Thanks!

But if we end up at the hotel when its time. Do the boats leaving from POFQ go to Boardwalk too?

No, the boats leaving POFQ do not run to BWI. However, it is extremely walkable to get there from Epcot. All you need to do is head out at the center of the WS (next to France) at the International Gateway. You can take a boat from there to BWI, as well, but it extremely walkable.

If you will already be at MK, hop on the BW bus that is right there. The route through Epcot that was listed above will almost certainly take much longer and you must use admission to enter Epcot.

If you're leaving from POFQ, taking the DHS bus is probably the fastest option using WDW transportation. Then take the boat as described above or just walk. There's a sidewalk that runs along the right side of the canal as you face away from the studios...opposite side from the boat dock. The boat route is DHS>S/D>Y&BC>BW>Epcot. So walking will probably be faster.

You could also hop a MK or DAK bus and then transfer to a BW bus at the respective park. Don't take an Epcot bus unless admission is not an issue for you as again you would need to go through the FW entrance and walk all the way to the IG.

Or you could catch a cab.

The boats that dock at PO will not help you. It runs to DTD not the Epcot/DHS area. Different bodies of water.

I just saw your other post. Walking from Epcot is a great way to go if you're already in the park. I would plan Spoodles for an Epcot day.

Regular Boardwalk Guest:

We like the MK ->monorail ->monorail ->through Epcot -> Boardwalk path - but it is definately NOT faster than the bus and will require having hoppers to get through the Epcot turnstyle. Plan on this taking an hour.

If you are at MK, the faster route would be a bus - they come approximately every twenty minutes and the ride is about fifteen to twenty - be prepared to stand on the bus.

If you are really in a hurry, walking to the Contemporary (15 minutes) and grabbing a cab from the cab stand will be fastest (probably less than half an hour total).

If you are at POFQ, you need to take a bus to DHS, then walk (about .75 miles) or take the boat to the Boardwalk from there. If a boat isn't pulling up when you get there - and especially if one just left - its faster to walk.

Another option from POFQ would be to take a cab. Its a pretty short cab ride.

Best option is to save Spoodles for an Epcot day - while its a longish walk from the front of Epcot to the Boardwalk if you are going to take the monorail, its a shortish walk from that end of the World Showcase to Spoodles. And a pretty pleasant walk.
