Spoodles for Breakfast?

Pinkivy - welcome to the Dis.
We eat at Spoodles for b'fast every trip, started about 8 years ago. I love "the italian". Never crowded when we've been there, nice atmosphere.

Seriously, we love it there... and their frittatas (italian omelette) are wonderful.....

Of course I'm in the midst of planning a trip for us and DB, SIL and kids- and nobody in their family is really into breakfast.

We have eaten breakfast at Spoodles for years and have always enjoyed it. It used to be great when they had the buffet but is still good. We like WCC too but the quiet Spoodles experience versus the raucous WCC is what it would come down to for me. Both are good but choose the experience you are looking for that best suits you.

Either choice is a winner......

I think the answer to that question would depend on several things... how many people are in your party, what are their ages, do you want to dash out to the parks or are you leisurely, etc. Obviously, if you are very mobile, it's not a big deal to head over by bus to Spoodles and have a great meal... but if anyone in your party is on a scooter, the bus ride can be a true ordeal. Likewise, the extra time it would take might make small children eager to hit the parks go a bit nuts before breakfast was done! We stayed at Boardwalk Villas on our last trip and dined at Spoodles many mornings. It was our first trip to try this restaurant and we enjoyed it very much. However, while it was quite enjoyable and we look forward to going back, I'm not sure I would make a special trip over just to dine there if it would involve a lot of extra effort. If your party is very mobile and you're not on a tight schedule, definitely make the trip. Otherwise, perhaps save it until another time when you are staying in a resort that's located a bit closer.

I too miss the buffet of past years but still think their breakfast is great. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the food is very good.

That being said though, the menu really isn't anything unusual or different so I don't know if it's worth hiking all the way over there just for some eggs. I wouldn't bother unless you're on your way to Epcot or want to see the other Boardwalk area attractions/hotels.

Spoodles was great but I think you get more food at WCC because of the "family
dining" and skillets. Plus it's more convenient if you're staying there. But I
thought Spoodles was good. WCC just might be more bang for your buck.

I wouldn't make the trip over there for breakfast. It's the usual breakfast items and nothing spectacular. We ate there twice when we stayed at the BW. Food was ok but the service took forever (and the place was empty). Just nothing special for breakfast.
