Spoodles Closing

I cant believe they are closing Spoodles. I really like that place, especially for Breakfast. Lou Mongello posted a copy of the press release today

Cat Cora's new restaurant is taking its place. I thought for sure that would go in Pleasure Island.

I just don't get why the keep taking the good places away

Just read this on the Allears blog.... I am really disappointed. Spoodles is one of the places that I have ate at each of my trips and enjoyed every time. Why couldn't they have replaced somewhere not as good?

I'm guessing Cat Cora's restaurant is going to be mediterranean (mostly Greek) themed? I think that's her specialty.

What is it with Cat Cora and Disney? She has several cooking "segments" on my On Demand Journey TV Disney section too. They could show the parks and stuff since it is meant for travel help, but instead there are 4 or 5 segements of Cat Cora cooking?

Don't get closing Spoodles at all, I thought for sure her restaurant would go in somewhere at AK or AK Lodge or maybe even at Epcot. They could have put her at Coral Reef to make that place decent again.

I have seen those, and in my opinion.......what she cooked just didn't look that good!
She is an Iron Chef so hopefully she has something great up her sleeve.

What I find interesting is that I just read she and her partner are both expecting....3 months apart!!!! They already have two other children.....pregnancies, new babies, new restaurant....she is gonna have her hands full!

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The celebrity chef Cat Cora will open a new restaurant at Walt Disney World later this year.

Cora's restaurant, "Kouzzina by Cat Cora," will replace "Spoodles" at Disney's BoardWalk. It will feature Mediterranean-style cuisine and is scheduled to open by the fall.

"This collaboration between Cat and Disney represents a significant step in our ongoing commitment to offer unique culinary experiences and choices for our guests," Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Jay Rasulo said in a written statement
