Please tell me about Spoodles' breakfast....good? bad? What did you get, and did you like it? Thanks!

We went last Feb for breakfast, arrived about 7:50 to an empty place and were seated asap in a nice booth. Coffee and juice were very good, service was very good but the food was terrible. DH ordered scrambled eggs, biscuit, bacon and potatoes. Everything was so over cooked and very salty. The biscuit was hard and greasy. I had the sausage and egg frittata with potatoes and a croissant. Again everything was over cooked and salty and the croissant tasted like lard.

For $10 more (on the entire bill) we could have had a great breakfast at Cape May. Or for $20 less we could have grabbed something at the BW bakery.

We just ate there 2 weeks ago.

We found the opposite to be true, service was pretty bad (but our waiter was a 65+ looking old guy from France who we felt bad for because he was being run ragged) and the food was good.

My DH got the breakfast platter it comes with eggs, french toast, sausage, bacon & homes fries and they will give you as much as you want - our waiter took soooo long to get back to us that my husband never even managed to get seconds before we had to go. I got the breakfast flatbread - it was interesting. I think there was scrambled eggs, red peppers, tomatoes and a couple of other things. We'd go back. :goodvibes

Their new breakfast menu is really neat. We had the Waffle, which had a whipped mascarpone cheese and honey, it was great. Also had a breakfast flatbread that was awesome as well. And the best part was....Press-pot coffee!!!!! And it wasn't Nescafe.

Each trip we try to have breakfast at Spoodles. In November, we had the breakfast flatbread and it was very good. So good, that we went back again later in the week and ordered it again.

It was a lovely sit-down breakfast. I don't exactly remember what we ordered,
but it was really GOOD. :thumbsup2

we love spoodles breakfast! it is a gem that as mentioned if you go early there is usually very few others there. go and try it! enjoy!

Thank you for your input--so glad most enjoyed the new menu...now we will definitely make an ADR for our upcoming trip. For those of you who had the flatbread, which one did you get? Both sound good, so I'm not sure which one to try! I'm hoping my DH will split that and the waffle with me!

My wife and I each had the Vegetable Flatbread. I had them put a little feta cheese on it and cut back on the mozzarella. It was excellent.
