After eagerly reading the Diamond Anniversary plans over the past few months, I now find myself trying to avoid spoilers before a June trip. I thought it might be helpful to start a no-spoilers tips thread with practical / logistical suggestions for others like me who would like to know how to best watch the parade, fireworks, and World of Color without learning too much more about what they will be seeing.

For example, as most people who've been reading about the 60th already know, there will be imagery projected during the fireworks on Small World, the Matterhorn, Main Street, and the Fantasmic water screens, as well as the castle.

Please help! For this post to work, we'll need people who have either seen the shows themselves or who have read and distilled information from other posts and articles to share what they've learned.

Thank you.

Just saw the new WOC. It's wonderful. Try to see it as close to the center line of sight as possible to be able to see all the videos. And if you stand in the front, near the water, bring a poncho! You'll need it. They gave us one and we still got soaked.

My cousin said to watch the Fireworks from Main Street near the Penny Arcade. Could see the castle, matterhorn and Main Street projections. Going to try it next week

Please post your experience! Curious minds want to know.

I watched from the Penny Arcade area and you cannot see the Matterhorn from the street (don't know about from inside the Penny Arcade itself). My guess is that one of the best viewing areas is going to be the Main Street train station platform because you can see the castle, Matterhorn, and all of Main Street, but I think most of it is being used for reserved viewing at this point (I saw signs that said reserved viewing on Sunday). I liked watching from Main Street (but I couldn't see the Matterhorn) because of the projections and other effects. The hub was good for the castle and Matterhorn, but it was harder to see the Main Street effects.

Ooh, good to know. i'll check out the train station throughout the week and see if it's reserved every day. That sounds like it would be perfect.

I wanted to watch from small world, but wound up watching from ROA. It's great that one can see the fireworks over there, now, but I'd recommend against it unless you don't care about really feeling immersed in the experience.

I saw the fireworks last night. I was standing right in front of the Mickey and Walt Disney statue. I had a great view of both the Matterhorn and Sleeping Beauty's Castle, but could also look behind me to see the projections on Main Street. It was the perfect location. If I were standing any further back, I wouldn't be able to see the Matterhorn, which is important to see. If I was standing any further forward, I wouldn't be able to see the different projections on Main Street. I am adamant about no spoilers as well, and was glad I did not look at any videos/photos of the fireworks beforehand. However, when I was there a guest told me something about the fireworks that I didn't want to know! Make sure you're in the exact location you want to be as the parade ropes walk past you. Fill in the space as quickly as possible; the area was full within seconds last night!

"There is one word of warning: the "Matterhorn Way" section of the parade route adjacent to the Matterhorn is closed during the fireworks which immediately follow the parade. Visitors sitting in this area to watch the parade (the small area outside the Alice in Wonderland bathrooms is a popular viewing area for those in the know) must leave as soon as the parade clears the area. This also means that you may not follow the parade down the route - cast members rope off the route as soon as the last float passes."

We have been fortunate to see the fireworks twice. The first time was on Main St. and the second was up by the castle. I liked the projections better on Main St. but I felt like up by the castle was a little more immersive. You can see things from there that you can't from Main St., that to me, make it feel more special.
