I just saw a video made by someone riding on Expedition Everest - really cool...and the audioanimatronic Yetti inside the mountain looks cool (you can just make it out if you slow down the clip)...as is the shadow of the yetti...or film or whatever it is...a really neat effect......and there was lots and lots of screaming from the riders....especially during the backwards section....if screaming is the measure for a good time, they were having a spectacular time...

there are actually 2 videos there...i finally downloaded the second one, but it's not as good as the first one....the first one is much better....

the ride looks shortish.....but fun.....the first video is from someone sitting on the left, pretty close to the front...the second video is from the righthand seat, further back in the train...

it took me a while to download it yesterday....i have a fast connection, but it was acting up yesterday....but it did finally download, just took longer than usual...

This has just become our number one ride for May.

Well maybe a joint number one along with Soarin' which looks pretty special.

Andy maybe Test Track, Mission Space, RnRoller Coaster, Tower or Terror, The Mountains, Haunted Mansion .... etc ..... etc ....

Looks good to me. Shame about the woman with the false scream though! That was the scariest part of the ride.

Turned the sound off and the video was far better!

you thought she was faking the scream?...
in the second video there's barely any screaming...i liked it better with the screaming...

in the first video, towards the beginning, when the people you're watching aren't screaming yet (since they're in the mild part of the ride) you can hear another train on the track with people screaming....i think it's when they go down that sharp hill towards the end of the ride (that we've seen in pictures of EE)...

basically the ride looks like a typical coal miners ride (like at cedar point) on steroids .....thunder mountain is your basic coal miners ride.....this one is a bit more than basic....
i don't usually like those sorts of coasters because they usually don't have sharp enough drops for me (no air time) and i can't stand the hard banking turns (like on thunder mountain which i haven't ridden in a couple of years).....EE seems to have the same thing (at the end when it has that long banked left turn)....so i'm guessing i won't ride EE more than a few times to check out all the effects....

did you watch the second video?....there's no screaming in that one at all...
so if you mean that you think the screaming is fake canned screaming, the lack of screaming in the second video would seem to negate that theory...or else the fake screaming wasn't working that time.....dunno....

if you mean that the people on that particular time were screaming more than necessary....well...
i can tell you that i scream from start to finish on many rides....

and i've heard people scream on much tamer rides..

in september we rode on splash mountain with a group of australian teenagers who had never been on the ride before.....you wouldn't believe it, but they screamed practically straight through....they didn't know where that big drop was and because they were convinced it was at every turn, they just kept screaming....my daughter and i thought it was the funniest thing....

I can't see what you're getting so conflict oriented about. The ride looks good, but if you're judging the ride as you say in your reply to Richard, " i liked it better with the screaming"...............

sorry if i gave the impression about the conflict.......i was just curious if you thought it was canned....like they used to have the canned screaming in Alien Encounter (and maybe they still do in Stitch, but it's such a bad attraction I won't go in it again to check it out)...

We had a castmembers preview of EE over the weekend, this is a fantastic attraction, Disney has exceeded itself with this one.

IMHO this is one of those rides that you just HAVE to ride at least once, even if you're not keen on these sort of things. The effects and visuals make it a must do.

AK is going to be moving up the rankings because of EE.

i don't know....those 2 videos are on my son's computer..
but there is a third video at a different site that you may have a better time with....it does need quicktime and takes a bit of time to download (even on a fast link)...
