*Spoiler* Christmas decs in DLH

I am sooo happy! Just saw this morning on twitter that the Duffy Gingerbread house is making a return to the DLH lobby - being assembled as we speak .

Can't wait to see my DDs' faces when they see this

Are you allowed to wander around the DLH, I thought I read somewhere they frowned on people who were not actually staying there. Sorry if that sounds like a dumb question but I'm used to WDW where we spend quite a bit of time just visiting the various hotels to admire their Xmas decorations & beauty. Can you do the same thing at DLH.

Yes course you can we always have a wander round DLH and meet the characters there in the morning.

I was really pleased as I thought with Duffy being sidelined slightly, that they may do away with it this year. My DDs will just LOVE it - so pleased we are staying at the DLH now as I had my reservations after last time but Mum wanted to stay here again!

Yes, know what you mean about Christmas spoiler thread - I didn't know if everyone would want to see all the decs and bits (I've found LOTS of photos of Christmas shop windows too - oooohhh) but haven't posted as again, not sure if it's too early for some to read about it (Halloween not finished yet ) and others going might not want to see it in advance....? I keep thinking I'll have nothing to surprise me when I get there but I'm sure seeing it in the flesh will be enough. So, a spoiler thread where it is in one place might be good?

Oooh so excited, not a big duffy fan myself but I LOVE the christmas gingerbread house at the grand floridian so so excited to have it in the lobby when we stay at the DLH

omg carrie cat..that actually brought a tear to my eye...dlh looks lovely...it never had the gingerbread house or duffy when we stayed in it in all our previous years...what a huge improvement...looks so festive!!

I heard that Duffy won't be in DLP for Christmas season, but not sure if that is confirmed.

My 15yo daughter bought a Duffy Bear from our trip to WDW in 2011 and she bought him a little french outfit, needless to say he is making the drip to DLP with us and my 18yo son who is a keen photographer has plans to take lots of photos with him in shot on his French sojourn. Does anyone know if they stock Duffy Bear outfits in DLP?(It was the closest thing I could come to a Duffy Bear lookalike)

I have seen on twitter today that Christmas decorations are appearing around the Halloween ones I am so excited

It was being constructed under wraps on Wednesday afternoon. HNY had their Christmas trees all up on Monday morning and It's a small world had jingle bells and Christmas theme this week. It was nice to have a taste of Christmas as well as all the Halloween decorations.

Duffy will indeed now be at his Meet & Greet location by Mickeys Boarding House in Town Square, from Nov 9th to Jan 6th.
Last year the Gingerbread House Ceremony was on November 6th. Photos and video on this page.

When you say resorts do you mean hotels ? If so they are all more or less next to each other - The HNY is opposite the NPB with the lake between them, the SQL is in the middle so in less than 10 minutes you've walked round the lake.

The other 2 are a bit further along side the river so an extra 5-10 minute walk.

Last year the Gingerbread House took 350 hours to build and was finished the day before the start of the Christmas season, so if it's the same this year it should be visible from the 8th of November
