Spoiled Me...But I Need to Know...

We are going to WDW for only a short four days this next time. That includes travel on day 1 and day 4. I have always been spoiled by 10+ day trips to WDW.

I will not be able to cram all of WDW either because we are traveling with 12 people ranging in age from 5 months to 76 years old.

Advice? Experiences? Comparisons?

We've done this before, Ash. It's going to be tough...I would like to say you'll be fine, but if you're anything like I am...leaving is going to feel extremely premature lol. But on the up side, at least you're going! I had to keep telling myself this, hehe. Since you've been many times before, you have the benefit of knowing what you enjoy most in Disney and you'll be able to do those things. That way you get the best out of your short trip.

My tip to you is to make a short list of the MUST DOs! Don't make it long, because you might end up disappointed in not being able to do them all. But make a short list and have that be your list of satisfaction. In other words, write down everything you really want to get done before you leave and that way, if you accomplish everything you wrote down, you will leave satisfied. Plus, you will probably end up doing more than what you have written on the list and those are considered your bonuses. If you end up with enough time for these...you will leave feeling like you accomplished more as if it were a regular long vacation. And the best part...you don't have to cram WDW.

YIKES!!! 4 days with 12 people!!
And I thought 7 days with 8 people was tough!

Let me tell you, it was REALLY irritating trying to get everyone up & going in the mornings. My family is a get-up-and-go family, my cousins...not so much.
By the second half of our trip, we were cool with splitting up and meeting later in the day.

So, my advice would be, don't worry about staying together at ALL times, being together for meals, parades, shows, and a rides as much as possible is GREAT, but it's tough to cater to everyones needs/wants with a big group.
So rather than stressing and fighting, don't be afraid to break into smaller groups when you need to.


And as stated before, hey, you've been tons of times, and I'm sure this won't be your last. So don't try to cram TOO much in, because (trust me) I KNOW how stressful and irritating that can be.
So pick everyone's MUST sees, and makes sure you do that stuff, and then just play the rest by ear.

yikes! 12 people is hard! lol...

i actually crammed the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, MGM, and Epcot all in 1 day before (via park hopper pass)... it is very possible! and although it wont be a relaxing and magical fun (what disney is all about anyway), its actually a goal-oriented fun... we saw all the things we wanted to see, did all the main things that were at the top of our "must do" lists, and probably lost 20 pounds from power walking all day haha.. its one of those tings that you just kinda feel accomplished about at the end of the day... plus its fun to brag, saying that "I did WDW in 1 day"... but then again, my group was a lot smaller than yours..

but yea, like dramaqueen said.. your group is HUGE and the age range is definitely dramatic.. so cramming isnt going to be very fun.. you dont always have to stay in 1 group.. you can always split up into smaller groups and do the stuff that are on your "must do" lists.. but either way, get there before the park opens, and hit up the main rides first before the lines get really long

just take it easy. do things you want to do, just try to make those things that everyone can enjoy. plan to see fireworks and shows, and try to think of rides that everyone can go on that won't be backed up.

ive done disney with about 12 people before and that's what i had to do. its not so bad, really.

its actually fun to tell the cm at the ride when they ask "how many?" "12!"

i've never done it before.

but i would say try and divide up.

are there more people your age/around your age that you could say mom we're going tomorrowland (or other places in other parks) and she says fine just meet us somewhere at sometime.
