We were down to WDW for a quick trip last weekend, and since we are out of points for the year decided to try Coronado Springs. We used to exclusively stay at moderated Disney resorts before DVC but for some reason never tried Coronado Springs. First let me say that Coronado Springs is a nice resort and probably is my second favorite moderate after Port Orleans Riverside, but all weekend my DW and I kept mentioning how much we missed our DVC resorts. We LOVE the laid back feeling at the DVC resorts compared to the rush, rush, rush at non-DVC resorts. Not to mention that the DVC rooms are nicer and in our experience the busses less crowded. :teeth:

I had the same feelings after staying at POR for a weekend. The resort is very nice but just not the same experience as with DVC.

Just think of what your responce would be if you stayed at one of the value resorts. :Pinkbounc

Been there, done that, have the receipts to prove it :) We stayed at ASM before we bought at DVC and swore that we would never stay at a value again. We didn't like the people hanging outside the rooms drinking and smoking or the tons of teenagers running all over the place.

I'm leaving in about 6 hours for my first DVC trip. Can't wait. I already feel spoiled just owning DVC. And to think all the money I am saving. I plan on keeping track of how much it would cost us if we stayed int he same accomadations everytime we go.

Ewww. That really happens? It's the "people hanging outside the rooms drinking and smoking" that's most unappealing to me. But I guess that's what happens when the room has no balcony?

This happened to us this summer. After a little over a week at BCV we extended our stay by one day because of an approaching tropical storm. We spent one night at ASMo and realized we had become DVC snobs :snooty:

Happened to us too, this summer! We stayed at ASSp with two families on a budget. My kids were looking forward to the food court and the other memories from when we used to stay there. We were there for a week (2 adjoining rooms) and we were all so thrilled to go to OKW for 5 nights after our friends went home! We are DVC snobs, too, now! I still have fond memories of CBR and FW cabins . . .

Our trip in October was six nights at SSR, followed by two nights at WL (not VWL). The six nights spoiled me. It was so nice to have a refrigerator where we could keep milk, orange juice, beer, and bottled water (we took the bottled water into the parks with us). When we checked into WL, our room didn't even have a minibar. DH had two bottles of beer left over, so he filled a trash can with ice and used that to keep it cold.

We stayed at moderates before our DVC purchase. One year we did stay at value and when we started walking to our room, I thought not again.

I am sure I won't even like going back to a moderate after going home here soon ;)

We bought while on Vacation in July '05. We toured with just 2 days left on our trip. Had instantly became DVC snobs. We had no desire to go back to AS Movies at all. We had only toured. I can't wait to actually stay in one.
