we are going in july for 10 days so think id like to split our stay we are definatly staying the first 5 or 6 days at pop century but i would like to try a deluxe there is 2 adults 2 kids getting 2 rooms at pc we like space also we are picky eaters so what deluxe has the best fast food variety and best pool best bus service ect...we have stayed at asmusic 2 years ago i just cant pick a deluxe also can anyone tell me what pools have slides and how long they are ty.::MinnieMo

It's kindof hard to "recommend" a resort when we really don't much about your family.

I picked the CR tower because it's one of *my* fav's.

You should look at which parks you'll be spending most of your time. If MK, then stay closer to MK, if Epcot, then stay there. Also, if your kids are older, you may want BC/YC for SAB.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip no matter what you choose!

my kids are 13 and 14 as far as parks go we will probably visit them all a different one each day including water parks so whatever deluxe i choose well probably wait until then to do that park. its just so hard to decide i have even thought of staying at pop for the entire stay but i like to try new things.by the way the pools and arcade will be important but id like to take a day to relax too lol. i still dont know what pool has the best slide .::MinnieMo

I voted for beach club [but yacht club would be just as good]. It is in a great area and the cape may cafe has excellent food. It also has a great pool with a fun long slide.

Well, all the Deluxes have the amenities you're looking for---pool with slide, arcade, fast food. They also have LOTS of amenities the values don't, but you'll find that for yourself.

We usually do moderates, but stayed at AKL in December, and can't wait to go back!! The decor is fabulous, it's the only resort with an animal preserve right outside your window, bus service was always great, the on-site restaurants are WONDERFUL (even for picky eaters, BOMA is a must! My DH doesn't eat veggies, or anything he thinks is weird, or anything new, etc...and even he loved it!!). You can actually see animals from the pool area...it's really a resort like no other.

AKL is my vote! I hear LOTS of great reviews on the special safaris available only to AKL Concierge guests, so we're thinking of doing that for our anniversary!

Good luck deciding!

Best pool with large slide BC or YC..Fast Food Beaches and Cream Soda Shop..but you will have EPCOT so close you can walk over to World Showcase and eat to your hearts content.

All of the Deluxe Resorts you have listed are wonderful...so have a great trip.

Maybe you should try "Eeny Meeny Miney Mo"?

I voted for Contemporary 'cuz I've always wanted to stay there, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of these! Pick which one you think looks best, or which one is accessible to the park you will go to most frequently. Have fun deciding!;)

With kids the age of your I would stay at the Swan or Dolphin. It's close to Epcot and MGM (can walk to either of those if you need more exercise--we did that some mornings) and it's very close to the Boardwalk and I think you kids would like that.

Since you probably won't spend a lot of time at the MK I don't think I would choose one of the MK resorts, even though I like the Poly and the WL a lot.

You could get a good price on the Swan or Dolphin with an AP and you should consider getting an AP since you'll be there for 10 days. There are other discounts, also (IE teacher discount, etc).

Voted for Beach Club due to proximity to Epcot and the Boardwalk and MGM - lots of stuff for teens to do

thanks

My vote would be for BC! Best pool on property, it's more like a mini-waterpark with the slides, sand bottom pool, lazy river and beachy area.

You also can't beat the proximity to both Epcot and MGM which are accessible both by boat or short walking distance and the fact that you have the boardwalk resort right there for nighttime activities as well as the resturaunt choices available. You have Cape May Cafe' - both the character breakfast buffet and clambake are just wonderful, not to mention Beaches-n-Cream soda shop - YUMM!! The Yachtsman steakhouse at YC and being so close to WS at Epcot for LOTS of dinning choices at night -- then there's the dinning options at BW too........

I could just go on and on LOL

DEFINETLY - BC:tongue:

my daughter really liked the yc is that as nice as yc and akl and contemporary so im narrowing it down lol:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

YC and BC are very similar, but with different themes. One is nautical, and one is beach theme. They are right next to each other and share the Stormalong Bay pool. Our first trip was to the BC, and it was wonderful. BC is closer to walk to Epcot, YC is closer to walk to the Boardwalk. Diana

i heard that all yc rooms have balconys and beach clubs dont we really want a balcony ive never had one also i need adaybed will i get one here that will be big eougnh for a 14 year old?:smooth:

It's true that all the rooms at YC have balcony's -- BC has some rooms with balcony's but most of the rooms at BC are standing room only. You can put in a request for a room with a balcony at BC but you're not guarenteed to get one so if the balcony is important you may want to go with YC.

As for the daybed being big enough for a 14yr old - it depends on how tall your 14yr old is;) If you're talking about a 14yr old who's not too terribly tall, they may fit quite nicely but if you're talking about a 14yr old on the taller side it may be somewhat of a tight fit.

Also, I'd make sure you put in the request for the daybed -- while there should be no shortage of them, our room at the YC one year didn't have the daybed -- just 2 queens so you may want to make sure they know you need one.
