Splitting reservation to use code - is it possible?

I read somewhere of people dividing in 2 the reservations they have for their dates, to get different quotes or something. I was wondering if I could do this also to use the code YQE. It happens that the dates that qualify for the discounts are from 10/23/05-11/20/05, 11/26/05-12/4/05 and my vacation dates are from Nov.23 - Nov.29, with the dining plan included.
I was thinking...if I make 1 reservation for Nov.23-Nov.25 with the regular price, and then make another one with the check in Nov.26-Nov.29 with the code...will this save me money, or it's just not worth it...
Any experts advice...or am I just thinking way too much...

I am staying Oct 21 - 28. I have a ressie for the first two days at rack rate and then the remainder at the discounted rate. She originally just split it in two different ressies for the same hotel. However I got her to change the two undiscounted days to POR and the other ressie is at AKL.

I had reservations from 11/23 to 11/26 at the Dolphin, but called today and I got the room only code discount on a BWI room instead. (still haven't told DH about my change in plans..... )

I also called yesterday about the MYW discount YQC or whatever...and they had discounted rooms at the Beach club/Yacht club and BWI with that package deal, but not concierge with either discount, like I wanted. Got it today!!!

Just go ahead and call and ask about your dates. I was afraid with the 11/23 check in that there would be a black out, but there wasn't. Try and get all your dates discounted.

I did that last August. You just have to go and "check out" of one reservation and then "check in " again. Just request the same room, though I am sure you would not ever have to worry about having to switch rooms. I think its worth it.
