I'm wondering if you can still split plates at the Blue Bayou? If indeed you can, what's the charge?
Thanks in advance!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

My daughter and I had split a plate when we ordered the surf & turf, she wanted the surf - I wanted the turf, and neither one of us eats a lot of food at any one time. Though we were with 3 or 4 other people who ordered their own plates. They also gave us each a salad instead of splitting it or deciding who gets it.

Last I saw the split plate charge was $12, as PP noted you get you own soup or salad.

They actually never charged us for splitting the plate. It may be because there were quite a few of us and everyone was ordering the surf & turf. I don't know, maybe we just got lucky. LOL

We were just at the Blue Bayou and they never charged us either for our 3 y.o. daughter who ate off of my and my wife's plate. We rarely ever order anything for her, since she eats so little.
But I was worried they were going to charge us for her for not ordering a meal, but they didn't.

Splitting a plate(extra sides) and sharing a plate is two different entities. We share all the time, never split. There is more than enough food, at least for us.

But note, I was just there and the tessro chicken was $2 more and the surf and turf $4 more. I whish I had taken a menu home. Allears is usually reliable but on return I also checked wdwinfo (which is connected to disboards) and it also had old pricing.

Thanks Skiing Fast! I made reservation's at the BB, for Weds the 24th.. can't wait!

Yes, Jack is right. They charge you if you want them to split the food in the kitchen and get extra sides. If you just want to share and split the food yourself then ask for an extra plate and there will be no charge.

Oh cool! Thanks for clarifying that! Thats what we will do, and then order a dessert a piece!
