Has anyone tried splitting meals on the dining plan? Is this allowed. For our August trip my DW, and DDs (9 & 11) and I are hoping to order just two meals at a table service restaurant on the dining plan along with two appetizers and two desserts, and then sharing them between the four of us. With the amount of food one gets and our eating habits, this should be more than sufficient to satisfy us for the night. This way we are hoping to save our meals for a signature meal our two. Does anyone know if the table service restaurants will allow this? Specifically, we are thinking of doing this at Spoodles and at Alfredo's in Epcot. Any thoughts on this?

No problem...just make sure the server knows that you only want to use 2 credits and then if you order something like extra drinks or whatever they will ring it up seperately.

We also split meals when we were there. Our DD5 and DS4 would split with us or each other. But you do know that you have to buy enough dining plans to cover your entire party right?

Yes, we enjoyed splitting some meals on the MWY plan two weeks ago :o)

Where and how did you split them? This would be interesting to know! Did you have a good trip?

We got cs breakfast from our resort (POR), sometimes sharing. Then, we sometimes got cs lunch, which we split 2 (or sometimes 3) orders between the 4 of us. Children are 5 and 8, and not huge eaters! DH and I split an appetizer and an entree at the San Angel Inn.

I will say that overall, it worked out for us to share breakfasts and lunches (and get BOTH meals), rather than everyone order a meal and waste alot of it!
Most dinenrs were character buffets, and not eligable for sharing. Seems like my children did share a pizza at Mama Melrose one eveing.

Hope this helps!

We shared a couple of times when we went in April. DS and I both were getting over allergies and didn't have huge appetites at the beginning of our trip, so at the Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch) and Tony's Town Square (dinner), he and I shared. At Liberty Tree, the food was split in the kitchen onto seperate plates, however at Tony's, they just gave me an extra plate and I did the dividing myself--still, either way, it was very convenient.

Good thinking about splitting the breakfasts and the lunches on the counter service meals. I am going to ask about an upgrade to concierge when we check-in, and do it if it's reasonable, but if not we will likely split.

OT, I love your posting name! I have a dog named coco (see avatar!)
