Splitting meals, can we do this?

I am wondering if I purchase 4 meals for our family of 5 at a table service restaurant, if my two younger kids can split an adult entree. Neither eats much and they will not appreciate many of the kids meal choices. Can this be done? Also we will be paying oop, not using ddp.

My Mom and I split a meal at LTT (lunch) this December. They even brought it out already cut in half and on separate plates!

It probably wouldn't be that much of a cost difference b/c they are kids, but I always try to tip on the price had I ordered two meals. Especially if our server was good. Ours this time was fantastic.
