DW and I are thinking of going to one of favorites, California Grill, in the near future. Does naybody know if CG will let you split portions? DW and I would like to share an appetizer (sushi or flatbread), and then share a main course. We'd each have our own glass of wine, and perhaps share a dessert. Would the waiter/waitress object? I doubt that we would be dining or taking up a seat during fireworks time.

Thank you! :)

We just got back today. The DW and I split several entrees at various places. At 50's Primetime, we split the meatloaf and our server, Jason, brought it out on two seperate plates with everything evenly split. :thumbsup2 At Concourse Steakhouse (a major dissapointment), they didn't do anything and we had to ask for a second plate even though we told our server (who was SO bad) that we were splitting the entree. At Tony's they brought the entree with a second plate underneath. Just tell them up front that you are splitting it, it won't be a problem.

My husband and I split two entrees between us and our son at CG in January no problem. I also believe that meal my cousin and aunt shared an appetizer and entree as well. I have never found a restaurant at WDW that is not a buffet or character meal that won't do this for you. Aside from saving money, the portions are so huge it saves waste as well.

The portions, though, are becoming more reasonable (i.e., smaller) at some of the better restaurants. My entree at California Grill during our last visit was barely enough for me (and I'm not a big eater -- anymore), while my entree at 50s Prime Time Cafe, by contrast, could have fed my wife and I very well.
