In anticipation of closing on our Polynesian points this week (yaaay!), fairly soon I will be making reservations for a trip in February 2021. I am loosely considering the possibility of doing a split stay. That may be ambitious, but I would like to leave the option open. I will be traveling with my children and my sister and her children. Our plan is to book 2 Polynesian studios. Then, possibly a 2 bedroom elsewhere. As I understand it, the best way to do the type of split stay booking that I want to do is to actually make 4 reservations in the home resort window - say two 3 day reservations for me and two 3 day reservations for my sister and then depending on availability, I may be able to change two of the reservations. But as I understand it, DVC also has a habit on combining reservations. We are the only two adults going, so we can't say make reservations under our names and then reservations under our husband's names. Will DVC combine the reservations before the 7 month window or is that something they do closer to the check in date to avoid dining plan manipulation? Thanks.
