Splitting Final Payment on Separate CCs?

Hi all,

Not sure if anyone has experience with this or not, thought I'd give it a try here because Universal's phone line is closed and so is the online chat feature: Has anyone been able to split a final payment onto separate credit cards? We're a group of 4 friends going, and when we booked, we could split the deposit 4 ways. It's not the end of the world if it all has to go on one credit card, it would just make it easier! Has anyone done this for the final payment?

Not sure, but are you talking about a package where you pay ahead of time, or a room-only where you're paying at checkin?

Package - room + tickets (+EP as it is a reservation at PB).

Since you need to pay the package off in full a number of days before arrival, probably best to use one cc and work it among your friends on evening it out


Do not see a reservationist dealing with partial payments from 4 different peoples cards since the reservation is in one name only

But if it is important to you, you could ask at the time your final payment is due

My friend and I were able to pay off our package with different cards on the Universal website. The account is under her name, but I'm listed as the other traveler. When either of us wished to make a payment, we logged in and paid with our own cards and kept track on a spreadsheet. No trouble doing that at all. You and your friends should each be able to go in and pay your amount with your own cards before the final payment is due. If you wait until it's due, I believe the balance will automatically come out of the main credit card on file.

Yes, that was exactly what we did and it worked! You CAN split a final payment onto multiple credit cards. Thanks for the replies, everyone! Hope others who are also wondering stumble across this thread.
