I am purchasing 150 points at VGF and want to split into 3 50 point contracts. We are going to get an October UY (for the 22 points) which is different from our current February UY. Our guide said the since it was a new master contract it could only be split 100/50 not 50/50/50. He said that when it is completely paid off and closed I can retitle it and break it into whatever I want. Is that accurate?

Accurate on the point that a new membership has to have a master contract of the minimum buy-in amount, which is currently 100. So your 150 points can only be split 100/50. In the past, when the minimum was 150, a master contract had to contain 150 points.

However, the second point of retitling it after closing sounds fishy. Once a contract is made with a number of points, you cannot add to/split the contract.

If this isn't an add-on then yeah, sounds like you have to do a minimum single contract of 100. You can retitle either later after closing, but you can not split up or change point quantities after closing.

When you get a new UY, you are buying a new membership. It’s not an add on any longer.

You are still eligible for member pricing, but the rest follows the rules of a new owner. So, it must be 100 and 50, as 100 is the minimum.

The other information is just plain wrong.
