Hoping someone who has done something similar can give me some reassurance here.

We are sailing soon with another family. We managed to score a cabana and intend to share it with our friends. In the app it's only showing our immediate family, not the connected party, on the cabana listing. Shoreside concierge says we have to add them when we get onboard. Assuming we are able to do so, that should mean they get equal access to the amenities like snorkels, bikes, etc yes? I just want to make sure they don't pay for separate rentals if we can get them included with our cabana.

I shared a cabana with friends, years ago. No problem with their being from a different cabin. Your rental covers X # of guests - with extra fee for those over that number (with a stated maximum guests).

Congratulations on the stars aligning for you. (Just saw the statement under your name; I guess you were prepared at booking time).

We've shared a cabana with several friends on different cruises. No problem at all adding them to the reservation once on board and they get all the same benefits.

Excellent, thank you! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't setting them up for a bad time if I tell them to cancel the rental package they booked.

No problem at all. Just let Concierge staff know once you're onboard. That way, you'll get the correct number of wristbands. Those wristbands indicate you have a cabana and then get all the privileges' that come with it.
