Even though my next BIG trip to WDW is a while away, DH and I spoke about going for 2 weeks (instead of one) on one of our our next trips and splitting between two resorts. I want to stay at Beach Club and Contemporary or Polynesian. Which resort area would you do first and why? We will have a little one with us.....he'll probably be about 2 years old. We're also going to try to sneak in a 5 day trip in October of 2003, but that will be at POR. Thanks for the advice!

I would say stay epcot first, then MK to give the little one something to look forward to!

Tough decision, though! You could also argue stay MK first, get the "commando" theme parking out of the way the first week, then relax at BC the second week.

I wanna go!

I would agree about staying at the epcot resort first, because I like having the MK for the end of the trip and since with an MK resort you will have the monorail, so perhaps by the second week you will be a bit more tired and the monorail may be more of an asset at that point.

Well we're splitting our stay first at the new BCV's for a week, and then moving over to the Contemp for the second week.

I just did that split with one more twist. the first one was AK, I couldn't go again without experiencing it, I loved it, not out of the way if you rent a car. the next one was the Poly, I loved that too, for a 30 yr old hotel it is kept up to perfection.then it was on to Epcot, BWI, Loved that oen also jusy hated the concierge, that was money wasted. I think a split is great, I guess it is personal preference. have a great time no matter what you decide.

With a little one, Do MK first! You can do MK and Epcot from a MK monorail resort using the monorail. I would do MK from BOTH resorts, to start and end the trip. :) I would hate the little one to get tired or sick by the end of the trip, and not able to enjoy MK!

When we went with ours at two years old, we always do MK first. Remember, the only characters your little guy will recognize at that age will be Winnie the Pooh and Crew or Mickey and Minnie. After hearing you tell him he's going to Mickey's House, he is bound to be confused/disappointed if that is not one of the first things you see. I say do the MK resort first, then head to Epcot area and slow the pace down a little. SAB will be wonderful for him at that age and a great way for you to relax. I know I'd be too excited that first week to slow down enough to spend lots of time at SAB. By the second week, I'd be able to pull myself away from the parks a little more!;)

Whichever resort/area is your favorite, I would save for last. That way, you really have something to look forward to while you are there. It will also minimize any disappointment if you aren't as excited about 1.

I went to California a few years ago and was going to spend a few days in San Diego and then a few days in Disneyland. I knew that Disneyland was my favorite, so I stayed at the Disneyland hotel last. This worked perfectly, because if I had stayed there and did Disney first, I would have been a little disappointed in San Diego. This way, I really enjoyed both, and anticipated the arrival at DL while I was in San Diego.

I would stay at the BC first and then one of the MK resorts because if you kid will have a better time at MK than at Epcot and I always like leaving the best for last so....

Definitely save the best for last, IMO. Go with the MK for the second week!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
