I am trying to convince DH to do a split stay(1 Night at AoA and 5 nights at VGF) My question is, how do you get your luggage from one hotel to the next? do you bring it with you or does disney make arrangements to get your luggage to the new hotel?? Also, Do we call a cab to go from AoA? We will have kids with us, will they require carseats(since we will not have them) Thanks in advance! :)

The resort will transfer your luggage, just call bell services and they will take care of it. We usually go to the park when our luggage is gone, then just go to the new resort and check in when we are done. They will hold your luggage until you get there!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Bell Services usually pools all of the Transfers and makes one (sometimes long) run to the various resorts (around 1pm). Get you transfer bags as early as possible to Bell Services, retain your ticket. Keep "Carry On" bags handy for items that you may need during the day (Bell Services will hold these for you). NEVER store important medications, since your bags may take longer to reach your other resort. And finally, remember to visit Bell Services, or Call from your new room when you get into it, they will not automatically deliver your bags.

We have done a split stay three times and have had no problems. The whole process is seamless. Before we leave for the park in the morning, we have bell service take all our stuff. After we are done with lunch and our AM park, we take the bus to our new resort.

Have fun!
