We are contemplating spliting our stay between two resorts. One for a 3 night stay, where we wanted to include DP and of course the tickets. However, we will be switching to another resort for 5 days and will not want DP for that stay, but will want the park passes. I guess I am wondering if when I book the first part of the trip, can I have on the room card, the DP for just the three days, with passes that will be for 7 days?
I'd hate to have to buy passes again for second reservation, as they are discounted the longer you stay. Anyone done this?

We have done this too. The only thing is...the park tickets expire 14 days after first use. Given the number of days you are going, won't be a problem.

You can book your package with 3 night stay with 7 day passes, and then book a 5 night room only res.

I too am thinking about staying at CSR (3 nites) with DP with tix and then switch to BC (2 nights) will only need Tix -- no DP. If we purchase either 5 day base tix or 5 day hopper, can we use these at BC? Would we be charged the additional fee (no expiration upcharge)?

Thanks!

No, you don't need the no-expiration in this case.

The tickets will be on your room key, but (unlike the dining plan) they are not limited to the length of your resort stay. All Disney MYW tickets are good for 14 days after their first use, unless you add the no-expire option. In other words, a 5-day MYW ticket allows you to visit a park on any 5 of the 14 days after you first use the ticket. If you add the no-expiration option, you may use those 5 admissions on any date without a time limit.

The 14 days for a ticket without the no-expiration option will more than cover your 5-day split-resort stay.

For your dining plan, keep in mind that you must use all your meals before midnight on the day you check out of CSR. They won't be valid on your second day at BC.

Thanks so much! I did not know about the 14 days usage time period. This certainly will help my split-stay!
