Spliting Resort Stays ???

I am glad to see this thread. We have been wanting to do the split now I am sure we will. The hardest part is deciding in which 2 resorts???

I want to do a split stay myself in Jan 07. I was thinking 3nights pofq and 3 nights movies. The cheapest way this priced out was.
Package on the FQ with the dining plan for first 3 nights. It expires at midnight on the day you checkout. So I can still use it at movies that 1st day. I also will buy a 5 day pass on the FQ package which dosen't expire for 14 days. Then room only at asmo for 3 nights. Still can use magical express.

Oh-my-gawd...now I get it...the light bulb finally came on! I'm embarassed to say I was having a hard time understanding how to do the DDP and tickets for a split stay. We have always done room-only. Thanks for the explanation.

I"m glad your light bulb finally came on.........mine is just having a hard time coming on.

I was thinking about staying at Cont. or Poly for the first two night, then moving to POP.

I have decided that for this trip, I am going to stay at Pop and when I take my girls back next year we will resort hop!!!

We did a split in February between AKL and GF - 5 in AKL to get the dining plan and 2 in GF - it was lovely and with checking in early at GF we got an upgrade!

We are staying at GF for the whole time next year

We really enjoyed our stay over 2 resorts.

I guess Im the weird-o cause I couldnt stand SPLIT STAY! We did it once about 3 years ago and it was awful! We couldnt get "comfy" in the room (POR) cause in 2 days we were going to WL.... we had to wake-up, pack up all the toiletries, dirty cloths (I dont do laundry at WDW) and pack everything else up, purchases from the parks, and misc stuff and head to the WL and check-in...our room wasnt ready for about 3 more hours and we just headed on to the parks, but it was just kind of an inconvience. Thats just my opinion. Might be cause I didnt plan it right, or something on my part, but I still didnt like it!

this was something i'm very interested in...DH isn't thrilled about unpacking again but I know we can't afford to stay at the Poly the whole time, but would love to experience it at least a little bit! Thanks for the information, this is very helpful!

This year we are doing a 3 way split! 2 nights a POFQ, 3 nights at WL, and 3 nights at Gaylord Palms resort. This will be during Christmas week. Has anyone ever done a similar split? If so how was it?
