Spliting Meals at Character Meals

I dont know your childrens ages, but those under 3 can eat off your plate for free HTH

They can eat off a plate of their own. no need to feed them off someone else's plate

As for the OP: I do believe the question has been answered, but I too would love to hear exactly how you think someone could split an all you can eat meal.

Last Oct, I was at Garden Grill with my MIL and DS (age 6 months). My MIL got sick at the table (literally). She went off to the washroom while I got things cleaned up, packed up DS, and asked for the bill. We had just been served our platter of food for the main course (and thankfully Mickey had already been by). I was told no charge for the meal. I realize that was very generous of Disney (perhaps motiviated by the fact they did want my MIL out of the dining room asap), but left a generous tip. So far, that's my only "free" meal at Disney.

We had an experience of No Charge once too. Our dd just isn't a breakfast eater but we wanted to do the Character thing. We ate at Chef Mickeys and she picked a little so we were of course charged as we should have been. Well the last day of our visit we ate at Tusker House....she wasn't really feeling good and didn't get anything at all...never even drank her juice. Our waitress came by at the end and saw that she hadn't eaten anything and actually took her meal off....we never would have expected that....just another reason to make me love Disney, I guess!!

Maybe each person only eats certain foods (Kid A gets veggies and meats and Kid B gets sides and desserts)? Or only eats until they are half-full? Or each person only interacts with certain characters (like kid A gets Mickey and Goofy while kid B gets Pluto and Minnie)?
